The satin slip skirt started trending last year when Instagram was flooded with THAT Topshop midi skirt; a major throwback to the best of 90s fashion. Since then, it has become a fashion favourite and has now taken its (rightful place) in any capsule wardrobe. Why? Because it’s versatile, works for any season, looks super duper chic and is oh so comfortable!
Over the years I’ve managed to collect these midi slip skirts in a variety of colours from the basics, like cream and black, to my latest addition, this beautiful pink satin slip skirt. If you’ve read my trend guide you will know that bright colours are seriously in trend for fall-winter, so I know that I can keep this piece at the front of my wardrobe for a while! The beauty of the slip skirt is that it is now considered a classic piece. You can style it for any season! In this outfit, since the weather is still a little warm, I’ve paired it with a textured crop top, some kitten heels and a pearl headband. I really wanted to give it an elegant feel.
A quick note about these earrings: These are the gorgeous Lele Sadoughi earrings and they are such a beautiful statement. I did find a more affordable version on Etsy that look almost exactly the same (cue shy monkey emoji)
If you want to create an edgier look, try pairing it with a t-shirt and some combat boots! As the weather gets chillier, add an oversized cardigan to the look, or your favourite cable knit sweater would go perfectly with it too! Remember when I created this look?
To prove to you guys that the slip skirt is a must-have piece for every season, you will be seeing it again as the weather starts to change in London! Are you a fan of this piece?
I have always struggled with very sensitive skin, which means that face masks are not always my best friend. That also means that when I do find a face mask that ACTUALLY works, and I mean really truly does a good job, I stick with it and add it to my beauty shelf. Over the years I’ve been able to create an edit of the best face masks for dry and dull skin, as well as sensitive skin. I have masks that combat acne, masks that exfoliate and masks that are bound to leave you glowing. Here is my ultimate list:

I have always struggled with hydrating masks because I find they make my skin way too oily. Too much oil leads to a break out and so on and so forth. That was until I experienced the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask. It’s the perfect level of hydration and gives your skin that instant boost it needs. I especially love using this when I am getting on a flight. Helps combat those post travel break outs.
If you have acne prone skin like mine, a clay mask is a great way to bring everything up to the surface and cleanse your skin. The Boscia mask is great because it’s made of all natural ingredients that are kind to the skin and you can see the results when you peel it off. Super healing and brightening. Also there is nothing more satisfying than being able to see all the black and white heads come out on this mask. Yes, gross I know.
Another fabulous clay mask that I have been using recently. This one tingles a bit when you put it on the skin but it works on two things. It works on the exiting acne and what lies underneath the skin, but also works on brightening the skins complexion.
Like I said, Summer Fridays has really changed my skin game! The R+R mask is another great option from their collection if you are looking to brighten the skin. It is an exfoliant so it takes away any dry and dead skin. Once you wash it off, the oil remains on the skin and moisturises and brightens your skin for the rest of the day. Perfect before big events.
I have always had mixed reviews with sheet masks. Dr. Jaart never worked as well for me as it seems to work for everyone else on the internet! The sheet mask that has genuinely made a difference to my skin is the Estee Lauder repair sheet mask. It repairs the skin while hydrating it and makes a notable difference to your complexion and marks when used over a period of time.
Your ultimate guide to the chicest autumn winter fashion trends that you can actually incorporate into your wardrobe.
All images taken from Pinterest and Vogue.com
If you’ve checked your calendar recently you will know that September is around the corner and you know what that means right? Not only is it fashion month, aka time for fashion week, but it’s also the start of a brand new season and a whole new set of autumn winter trends for 2019. I think it’s safe to say that this may be my favourite set of fashion trends yet! There truly is something for everyone, from incredible suits, to satin dresses. There’s plaid galore, soft leather or even lace and sequins if you feel a bit more feminine. Want to wear sequins in the day? Go for it! Ready for top to toe colour and feathers? Yes! It really is a season to have fun with fashion and express YOUR style. So, to get you ready for autumn winter 2019, I’ve rounded up my favourite trends of the season that are actually wearable!
Scroll down for my top trends, how to wear them and the key pieces you need to get the look! Comment below with your favourite trend!
PS: A few of the trends not mentioned here but are still very cool are top to toe colour, lavender, suiting, asymmetric necklines, tiny bags, statement hats and statement tights!
Valentino, Giambattista Valli, Peter Pilotto
DARK FLORALS
What once was a pattern reserved for warmer months, florals are making their way into your permanent wardrobe. With a darker upgrade for the winter months, florals are the latest autumn winter fashion trend to hit the runway. Start with midi dresses in the autumn with knee high boots and get ready to layer your chunky cable knits over pleated floral skirts.
Style Tip
You can work your already bought floral pieces into your new season looks! Just think about layering them with darker colours and you will be perfectly in trend. Simplest way? Pair your favourite floral dress with a dark cardigan! Instant outfit.
Bottega Venetta, Longchamp, Tom Ford
SOFT LEATHER
When we think winter we think knit and velvet but now it’s time to think about leather as well. This new trending material is going far beyond your favourite pair of boots. Think leather shirts, pants and jackets too! There are so many amazing high street options as well in terms of faux leather pieces so that you can get the look!
Style Tip
Don’t be afraid to pair a leather top with leather bottoms! Go for the all leather look!
Fendi, Saint Laurent, Isabel Marant
IT’S ALL IN THE SHOULDERS
It’s all about the power shoulder this autumn and that doesn’t just mean a powerful shoulder pad. If you’re feeling a bit more feminine, look to puffy sleeves as well! It’s the kind of trend that can work for anyone and the outfit options are endless. Pull over a power shoulder blazer on a black turtleneck with leather look leggings and combat boots for an edgy look. OR, opt for a puffy shoulder sweater with a skirt and tights!
There’s plaid galore, soft leather or even lace and sequins if you feel a bit more feminine.
Chloe, Rochas, Emporio Armani
PLAID POWER
Plaid, boucle, or check. Call it what you will but it is one of those patterns that NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE. This season it’s back again and it’s even bolder and better than before! Look to more checked prints like the ones we saw coming down the Dior runway rather than the classical plaid pattern we all know (don’t totally abandon that either though!).
See below for my favourite upgraded plaid pieces!
Peter Pilotto, Saint Laurent, Chanel
FEATHER FRIENDS
It’s time to put away the tassels and embrace feathers instead. There’s something about feathers that are so undeniably glam and they are perfect for the upcoming party season! You can go larger than life with a totally feathered up piece or look for feather trims! Think that Prada sweater with the detachable feather sleeves!
Style Tip
Feather trims are the easiest way to ease yourself into this trend! Opt for a feather trim sleeve or trouser hem!
Rochas, Marc Jacobs, Emilia Wickstead
LARGER THAN LIFE DRESSES
Of course, the slinky slip dress is very much here to stay but there is a new dress in town and she’s trending! The larger than life dress is very much a fashion street style favourite with a lot of volume and fun! A super feminine take on dresses and one to try for sure this season.
Style Tip When working with a silhouette that is such a statement keep things simple in every other department. Opt for classic shoes and accessories to let your dress do the talking.
Burberry, Fendi, Chloe
THE NEW SILHOUETTE
Most fashionistas are calling it the return of the bourgeois, a new silhouette is taking over! It’s all about pussy bow blouses paired with pleated skirts, it’s a modest yet trendy look and it’s taking over! You should of course make this style your own! You can try experimenting with just the pussy bow blouse or just the pleated skirt. Try matching the look with something edgier like leather pieces too!
From the ultimate slip dress to the perfect headband, these are three trends that are here to stay for 2019 and beyond.

If there is one fashion trend that doesn’t go out of style, especially when it comes to these in-between seasons, it’s the slip dress. Slip dresses are the perfect thing to style and the best part about them is that you don’t need to abandon them come autumn/fall (Half my audience says autumn, half my audience says fall, which one are you?) But today isn’t just about how to style a slip dress, it’s also about two other trends that are not going anywhere for the foreseeable future, and how you can work them into your next outfit. With autumn around the corner, it can be tricky trying to understand what to wear now, but these are three trends that you want to work into your outfits!
The Slip Dress
So as you may have gathered, the slip dress is a must-have for 2019. Some would go as far as arguing that it’s a wardrobe staple and I tend to agree. I opted for a floral slip dress (If you read my Autumn Winter 2019 Trend Guide you will know why!) for my outfit. As the weather gets colder, it becomes all about layering your look. Add a turtleneck sweater underneath a slip dress, or a cute bomber jacket over. Swap your flats for boots!
The Headband
One of the biggest comeback trends of the year has been the headband and it’s not going anywhere. There are so many different styles from padded headbands or thin ones, to patterns even. Get creative and with colours and even textures. As the weather gets colder you can go for leather pieces or pearl headbands! It’s a great way to make your sweater outfit look even cuter.
The Pearl Earrings
Statement pearl earrings are a big trend this year. I love pearl earrings because of how elegant and feminine they are and on most days you will catch me with some sort of pearl accessory. Come winter, pearl earrings are also going to be your go-to in terms of party wear! You can literally wear your pearl earring with anything and remember, the bigger the better.

One of the perks of my job is that I get to try so many amazing (and some not so amazing… oops!) beauty products. This means that I’m always updated on what the best new makeup and beauty products of the year are and I wanted to take a moment to share my favourites with you below. It was my very first time on the beautiful island of Mykonos and let me tell you, I’ve fallen in love. From some of the coolest beach clubs, the best music, and the most amazing lobster spaghetti, there is so much to do in Mykonos and so many great things to experience that you will want to keep coming back for more. Here are my ultimate tips to the island…
BEACH CLUBS
There’s no doubt about it, Mykonos its a happening place. There are a range of beach clubs to check out that you can eat lunch at, have a drink, swim and relax at. Most of the restaurants on the island for dinner land up turning into parties as well and the atmosphere is really buzzing. Here are the spots worth checking out:
Alemagou
This is a more relaxed beach club for the day. Grab a table in the restaurant and have a long leisurely lunch before moving to the beach area where you can enjoy the sunset. They have a lovely beach where you can also swim. There is also a really cute beach shop!
Scorpios
By far my favourite spot on the island, Scorpios is an amazing place to spend the day from your afternoon all the way after sunset. You can have lunch in their restaurant where they have someone coming around with fresh oysters as well. The food here was the best we had on the trip. As the sun begins to set, move to the sunset spot where there is a DJ and live music. It is a lot of fun!
Nammos
Admittedly my least favourite spot we visited, Nammos is a lot of fun and a giant party. They are known for their famous chocolate mousse. It is not as relaxed as the other spots but it is more of a mainstream party spot. If you are looking to relax, they have a lovely beach!
Pre book your tables everywhere – they fill up very fast and you need reservations
DINNER TIME
We had dinner at a few different places on the Island, here are my thoughts on these popular spots:
Interni
I had a great time at our dinner here but I have to say the service was very bad. The waiters were rude unfortunately and they kicked us off our table for no apparent reason. The poor service is what really put me off this place.
Sea Satin
Honestly one of the most fun nights we had! It is such a great dinner spot, the food is simple and yummy (Try the lobster orzo!) and by the end of the night you will be dancing on your table!
For that late night gyro make sure to head to Jimmy’s! Its a famous spot on the island to satisfy your midnight (or way past midnight) cravings!
Fashion Tip: Mykonos town is all blue and white but the beach clubs are all beige! Dress colourful and have fun with your looks!
MYKONOS TOWN; SHOPPING & MORE
The lovely team at Aispi.co put together a list of great shopping spots for me to check out in Mykonos town. All these boutiques were unique and had items that you could not find anywhere else!
Bollicini
A multi brand store that also offers amazing views of Mykonos
Tia
For a whole range of unique handmade sandals that you won’t find anywhere else!
Jardin
A multi brand boutique housing a range of unique pieces from so many beautiful Greek designers!
Sketch
If you’re looking for cool beachwear, this place has it all from every single country in the world!
Between all the shopping, don’t be afraid to loose yourself in the beautiful streets of the town. Head over to see the windmills and stop for ice cream at I Scream.

One of my favourite things in the lead up to any summer vacation is packing my summer holiday outfits. After we’ve booked a destination, the first thing I like to do is to research the place on Instagram and Pinterest and from there I start to pull together my outfits. I love to match my colours and accessories to the vibe of the place but there are always five things that you will always find in my suitcase, regardless of the time or place. Trust me, if you have these five things in your arsenal on your next warm-weather vacation, you will always be ready and stylish!
1. A statement swimsuit
Nothing says beach like a good swimsuit and when you have that one statement piece, that you know you look good in and feel good in, you will always be prepared! Here are some of my favourites of the season:
2. The perfect white shorts
I never go on any beach holiday without a good pair of white shorts, My favourite pair are linen from & Other Stories and are so easy to pull over a swimsuit, or pair with a beautiful summer top to make a cute city summertime outfit!
3. Straw Bag
Straw bags are the ultimate sign of summer and I love having different variations of them depending on where I’m going. If you’re going to a city, like I did last year (Remember my trip to Rome, Florence and Milan?) then go for one that is closed to safeguard your valuables. I love this straw clutch for its elegant style! If you’re off to a beach, you can go for a more traditional style that is open on the top!
4. Fun Earrings
Even if you decide to wear a white t shirt and shorts, your outfit will immediately look better when you have a pair of fun statement earrings. I never go anywhere without a pair because you never know when you might need them. I even wear my big pairs on the beach!
5. Hats!
I’m such a hat lady. I can’t resist a good straw hat and in my opinion the bigger the better. Granted they are not easy to travel with, I like to just wear mine when we travel OR I stuff it with socks/other small soft pieces and put it at the bottom of my suitcase.
After we’ve booked a destination, the first thing I like to do is to research the place on Instagram and Pinterest and from there I start to pull together my outfits.

I’ve just come back from the beautiful island of Mykonos and although I’m back in London, I still have so much beautiful Mykonos Instagram content to share with you all, including all my vacation outfits! One of the most fun parts about going on a summer holiday is planning out your beach outfits and I had so much fun pulling together these looks. I’m sharing with you exactly what I wore on this trip and how you can pull the look together as well! Let’s get started!
PS: Come back on Monday for my ultimate guide to what to do in Mykonos!
DAY ONE
On our first day, I changed from my travel outfit straight into a swimsuit and cover-up! I wore a pink maxi dress from & Other Stories and a Solid & Striped bikini. I actually bought this bikini last year but I love it so much still!
That evening I changed into a pair of linen shorts from Mango and a black Zimmermann crop top. I finished the look with my Cult Gaia hoop earrings!
Style Tip: Nights out in a beach town are all about getting the perfect balance between relaxed and dressed up. You want to look like you’ve made an effort but still maintain a beachy vibe!
DAY TWO
The next day was one of my favourite outfits for sure. I paired these brand new lace pants with a red front tie crop top. I loved the way the colours worked with my Orange bikini! This bikini is so flattering because it’s a simple shape and its high waisted! Don’t forget about accessories as well; just because you’re at the beach, doesn’t mean you leave your jewellery at home! It can seriously make your look!
For that evening, I wore a white dress that I actually found in the beach club shop! I love discovering fun little brands and pieces on holiday that you can wear. The dress was on my stories and you can still see it on my Mykonos highlight!
DAY THREE
On our third day, we went to another beach club, and I chose to wear another colourful outfit. I found this beautiful yellow floral dress online and fell in love! It fits like a dream and has a beautiful tie back, making it perfect for a beach holiday. Accessorise it with a hairband and gold hoops!
I didn’t make it out that night because I started to come down with the flu and I knew I needed to stay in and rest! If I did go out though the outfit I had packed was a black slip dress! Simple and chic!
DAY FOUR
On our final day in Mykonos, we decided to go out and see the town. Since the sun was shining I wore what could be my favourite outfit of the trip! I finally got my hands on one of the Camila Coehlo x Revolve pieces, this gorgeous crop top! It’s so cute with its adjustable tie front and perfect to style in so many ways. I think I will do a fun IGTV about it!
I paired the crop top with this adorable white skort – I’ve worn it so many times before and again it’s such a great piece to have and style! I finished the look with my Soludos espadrilles; they say Mon Amour!
