Spring/Summer 2022 is around the corner and with it come a new set of trends to dominate the style scene. From the return of street style at Couture week in Paris to the rise of dopamine dressing with brightly colored suits and more, fashion is back and I couldn’t be happier. I don’t usually push for trends but I do love seeing what new accessories emerge from the fashion cycle.  Shoes are probably my number one accessory because I think they are one of the easiest and best ways to have fun with an outfit. You can invest in a pair that is totally crazy, love it for years, and always feel confident wearing them. This year, like any, there are certain pairs of shoes that are dominating the scene and you’ll be sure to see them on your most stylish friends and on your favorite Instagram shots! VERSACE MEDUSA PLATFORMS

Talk about sky high, these Versace platforms are require a solid footing. They come in a variety of colours and are sure to give you a boost! 

THE ATTICO DEVON MULES

Everyone knows the stunning Attico lace up heels that took our outfits by storm and this year I would make way for this style; the Devon mule. They come in two different heel heights and a bunch of bright colours to give you the perfect pop of colour in your next outfit. I have a pair of green ones and I find them super comfortable too. 

PRADA LOAFERS

The loafer style isn’t going anywhere and the Prada pair are still very much the OG pair to have. You can also invest in another brand like Chanel which is a fashion babe favorite too. Personally, I love my Prada pair, they are chunky but they are easy to style! 

YSL BOOTS

I mean, we all have that image of Haily Bieber saved right? The ultimate statement, these YSL boots are straight up fire. No more words necessary. 

GUCCI SLINGBACKS

These Gucci slingbacks are perfect if you love a dose of glam in your daily life. The crystal detailing makes this pair a statement but the short heel means you can style it for day or night.

I hate to box my personal style into one category. On some days you’ll find me in an all black outfit, on others you might find me injecting my look with colour, or rocking the lates shearling pullover, whatever it is, it’s all about what I want to feel that day. With a new year here, I’m all about curating my wardrobe with the colours that are making me feel good this year. I’ve taken inspiration from my favourite S/S 2022 looks on the runway, to the things around me that are inspiring me. Here’s a look at the trending colours of 2022.

We can’t kick off this roundup without the Pantone colour of the year. Make way for Purple. Believe it or not, this is a colour that I used to say was my least favourite. Over the years it’s come to become a colour I adore wearing. I find that it’s a colour I feel strong and confident when I wear! 

Blue is always in my wardrobe but this is a very specific shade of blue that I just cannot get enough of. Perhaps it’s all the dopamine dressing but I love how bright this is. Pair with neutrals for everyday. 

All things green from this neon colour for the spring and summer to this darker evergreen, emerald shade for the winter. Don’t just eat your greens, wear ’em! 

A colour I fell in love with last year but is here to stay is Fuschia. Almost like the wild cousin of millennial pink, this bold shade can be worn with denim. 

Is there anything more statement than red? Name me a colour, I’ll wait. 

Just cause Fuschia is in town doesn’t mean we can’t have a dose of girly girl too. I love baby pink especially paired with red. 

Finally! A neutral! Brown is set to be one of my favorites of the year. I know a lot of fellow brown girls feel strange wearing a colour that is close to our skin tone but trust me, it actually is very chic. Pair with other neutral accessories like white or black or for something more tonal try a mustard yellow. 

We had a very bright yellow dominate over the past few years but we are toning it down with this more luxe version of our favourite summer colour.
