The Cutest Denim You Can’t Live Without

The Denim You Can’t Do Without is Here…

Denim overalls make me so nostalgic. I think of a time when I was young, carefree and rocking the cutest looney tunes denim overalls. Luckily for me, fashion always comes around, and denim overalls are back. We all might have the pair of jeans that fit the best and the cutest denim skirt but do you have the perfect pair of denim overalls? Trust me, it’s the denim essential you can’t do without this summer!

For me, it’s always about taking a classic and trying something new. Denim overalls are no different. I put my t-shirt back in the cupboard and instead went for an adorable off shoulder blouse. I love the way it gives the overalls a more chic street style look. With a pair of heels, the contrasts make the whole look come together! I also went for an all monochrome look by keeping the colours blue. I’ve also been styling these overalls with contrast colours like orange and red and puffier sleeves! That’s the best part about denim, you can literally style it in so many ways!

Summer Sunglasses: Part One

Your New Favourite Accesory

Sometimes its the simplest details that can transform an outfit. In this case, or rather in this series, it’s your sunglasses. Like everything in fashion, sunglasses too have their trends for 2017. Who better than the hottest new sunglasses brand around, Sunday Somewhere, to help me show you guys the best sunglasses for your face shape! This was one of my favourite projects to shoot in India so far and I loved all the amazing support you guys showed over Instagram during my shoot! So without further ado, I give you a how-to on transforming your look from good to great with just your sunglasses. Make way for the next street style star; you!

A stripe dress is always a classic especially for the summer. But what takes a stripe dress to the next level? The perfect sunglasses of course! The amazing mirrored lens on these elevates my entire outfit and makes the whole look so much more interesting. Plus, I love the way the colours of this gorgeous Mumbai market reflect onto them! This kind of shape is perfect for a heart, oval and round shaped faces!

For my next look, I of course needed a different pair of sunglasses! One of the coolest trends right now are tinted lenses. The best part about this round pair is that you can buy into the trend in a timeless way. The lenses on these are also sheer but they aren’t coloured so you can get the look, the classic way! This shape is also particularly in trend and immediately gives my whole outfit the retro feel I was going for. Without the sunnies, it would have been incomplete! I love that they are still subtle though! This kind of shape is perfect for almost all face shapes including heart, oval, round and square!

The Summer Way to Style a Striped Outfit

Summer Stripes for that Nautical Look…

Stripes are timeless. Regardless of season, or time of year, you can never go wrong with a striped outfit. Stripes dominate street style, whether it’s new street style or old, and you can always look classy in them. That’s why I think a majority of my wardrobe is full of striped pieces. For the summer I like to style breton tops – I love the very nautical French Riviera feel they have. Whether they are blue and white or red and white, a striped outfit like this one will not fail you this summer!

For a little bit more of an edge, I wanted to style this very classic piece with a not so classic skirt! I love the asymmetric hem the skirt has, and with some funky sneakers I thought the look had the perfect balance between city street chic and summer vining!

It’s another Monday and although the struggle seems real, the best part about today is that sales are on! How to Wear Double Denim this Summer

So how do you spice up double denim?

Double denim, the Canadian tuxedo, whatever you want to call it – it’s been around for ages! It’s a classic combo that never fails you but how do you take that go-to look to the next level? Here at TSS, a part of my mission is to inspire you to try something new and embrace fashion as a way of expression. I think one way of doing this, is taking something classic and adding a touch of personality to it. That is exactly what I did with the double denim trend. I didn’t just want it to be a regular denim jacket and a denim mini. Instead, I opted for embellished denim.

This jacket has to be one of my most favourite purchases recently. I fell in love with it when I saw the embroidery at the back! (Very Gucci right?) I loved that it even had adorable embroidery on the front hat said “Oui Oui”. All in all, this embroidered denim jacket from Joie stole my heart. To really elevate the look, I paired it with my favourite denim mini of the moment from Topshop. I love the racer stripes down the sides. They really give the look a sporty feel!

My Mumbai Travel Diary & First Vlog!

A Mumbai Minute…

When your hometown is somewhere as vibrant as Mumbai, the 8.5 hour flight doesn’t seem like that much. I had to take a very quick trip back to see my family, and just get some R&R before I delve into a summer of work on TSS! My trip felt like it went by in the blink of an eye but I was determined to get back into video footage. With that in mind I created a short yet sweet video about my trip to Mumbai – a teaser vlog if you will. I would love to hear what you guys think! Do you want to see more vlogs? 3 Stylish Ways To Wear Gingham Now: Part Three

Gingham with a Summer Touch!

The “3 Stylish Ways to Wear Gingham Now” series has been one of my favourites up to date (I should do more of these! What do you think?). For the final instalment of this series, I wanted to give my favourite gingham two-piece a fun summer update. I love how gorgeous and feminine a two-piece like this one from Zara can be, but I wanted to add a little bit of edge to the look. The simplest way to do that was by adding a tee shirt underneath this crop! The tee gives a very city street style look, making it perfect for some June outfit inspiration! The sneakers added that touch of cool to balance the femininity of the two piece set. Sometimes, it’s also the smallest additions that can make an outfit. For me, it came in the form of this adorable scrunchie! The stripes and gingham work so well together. Don’t worry, this is not the last time you will be seeing gingham here on TSS. I have more amazing gingham pieces to show you – Maybe I need to do a part two of this series? What other series would you guys like to see on TSS?
