Colour of the Month: Terracotta

Scroll down to see my favourite ways to style this Pantone approved shade!

Welcome back to the colour of the month series. In an effort to make our way through what’s in for fall/winter 2016 and make sure you’re wardrobe reaches it’s season colour potential, I introduce you to the next must have shade in your fall palette. Enter Terracotta. Although it seems like a strange shade (I mean, is it orange? Is it brown? What is this colour.. is it kind of like tobacco?) It’s actually a great one to match with lots of colour combinations that are sure to get you noticed!

Burgundy + Terracotta

There is no denying this beautiful combination. If mother nature can work it (look at the autumn leaves, duh), so can you! It’s pretty much perfect for fall.

Purple + Terracotta

Anyone who knows me well knows that I am not a fan of purple, but even I cannot deny how well this combination goes… maybe it will convert me.

Blue + Terracotta

Is there anything that blue doesn’t go with? I love matching warm and cool tones together, the contrast is beautiful!

Special Mention: Terracotta + Pink

I think this is my all time favourite combination, or at least my current favourite combination… keep your eyes peeled because I’m going to be wearing this combo super soon!

It’s All About the Layers

Take your favourite tee/light weight sweater and layer it under your favourite summer tank. Layering is the key to fall/winter dressing, so start now with some of your lighter clothing to get that perfect transition style!

Bejewelled Out

One of the biggest trends for fall/winter 2016 is bringing out all your shiniest and brightest jewels. It’s all about more being more and getting into the shiniest season of them all! A cute and easy way to do that is to add your favourite brooches on to your bag for that something special and unique! The perfect way to show you’re ready to shine through the winter!

Knee-High

Knee high boots are a favourite for the fall/winter this year but it might seem a bit soon to get them out already! Instead, opt for knee high socks instead – a little lighter, a little less warm, but still gives you the same look!

I especially adore the combination of pastel shades and the beautiful contrast they create!

London you surprise me everyday. As my outfit ideas for September only continue to grow, I can’t help but hope that the weather starts to cool down. Don’t get me wrong, who doesn’t love summer sunshine? But I’m sure you agree with me when I say, I really cannot wait to get all my fall coats and boots out and get my fall fashion on! Till then though, we tackle the London heat day by day (I hear you my readers in India and Australia, I know that this isn’t even as close to as hot as it gets over there!). I love these joggers because they are so light weight and easy. I especially adore the combination of pastel shades and the beautiful contrast they create! I usually don’t like to mix two voluminous pieces together but they happened to go together so well! Sometimes you have to take risks with fashion!

Mougins Travel Diary

I’ve been away again, this time to the sunny side of the South of France. I was away last week to attend a beautiful wedding and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Here’s a peak of what I got up to!

Woke up in Mougin, already craving all the yummy pastries I saw EVERYWHERE!

The celebrations kicked off with a  brunch, where I was wearing a striped Club Monaco jumpsuit with my favourite Sunday Somewhere glasses!

We headed into Cannes the next day for a gorgeous lunch on the beach and a quick look around all the lovely boutiques. We even found a store dedicated to just belts and buckles! I’m wearing a Maje shirt and Missoni pants.
