Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!
One of my biggest weaknesses in life is shoes. I literally cannot resist beautiful shoes. After all, it’s in the name, isn’t it? I do love a good pair of sneakers, or heels.. or just shoes in general! A few months ago I gave you guys a little peek into my handbag collection and shared some tips on how to invest in the right handbag. Today I wanted to share with you a few tips on how to build a shoe collection that makes you feel as happy as Carrie Bradshaw! Of course, I’m also going to be sharing some of my favourite shoes with you along the way, who make my most favourite shoes, the most comfortable and the prettiest too! I would say, very much worth the investment!
is Key
Okay, guys here’s a big confession. All you shoe lovers are sure to gasp. I find Louboutins to be incredibly uncomfortable. I get the whole no pain, no gain situation. I know that heels are not always comfortable, especially after a long night but I find Louboutins to be the most uncomfortable. That leads me to my first point. Comfort is key! A pair of shoes can be as beautiful as ever (of course Louboutins are beautiful, You can’t resist that red sole can you) but if they make you feel horrible after half an hour and ruin your night, they are not worth it. One of my most favourite pairs of heels is from Gianvitto Rossi. They have a spiral strap that goes around your calves. They are the most beautiful heels and also one of my comfiest! I started my night at 8 pm and ended it the next morning at 6:30 AM. I sat down twice for about 15 minutes each and felt no pain! That’s a pair worth investing in.

Some of my comfiest shoes are from Prada, Dior and Gionvitto Rossi. In terms of sneakers, it doesn’t get better than my Adidas NMD’s or my Charlotte Olympia sneakers.

These shoes may have been bold purchases but I wear them so much because they are so me!
Let Your
Reign
Shoes, much like fashion, are supposed to be fun. Of course, every girl should have a pair of black pumps, a pair of nude pumps, and some kitten heels in her collection. Sneakers are a must as are fancy flats. Once you’ve got the basics down though, don’t be afraid to let your style really shine through. Of course, investing in shoes, especially a designer pair, is a process you should be mindful of. If there is anything worth investing in though it is accessories, and it is an easy way to really let your personality shine through. I recently purchased a pair of flats that are covered in beads and are incredibly colourful. Not something everyone would leap for but they spoke to me and I know I’m going to be wearing them all summer. Much like another pair I have from Sophia Webster. My mother looked horrified when I picked up this pair but they have never failed me and I bring them out every summer because they let me express myself and have fun!
It’s About
Not The Tag
Okay, you’re dreaming about your shoe collection and you’re thinking of all the big names but a luxurious pair of shoes don’t need to be from a huge brand. Some of the best shoes I have are from the high street. For me, luxury is about having the best of something, and that could mean the best fit for my feet, a pair that make me feel great, or just a pair that I’ve been looking for forever. Of course, a pair from Dior or Prada would make me swoon but a good pair from Topshop or ASOS would make me happy too, granted the quality is good and the fit is right! I have a pair of boots I bought from ASOS long before I started my blog. I still wear that pair today (they are a snake skin effect pair, you might have seen them on my Instagram!) They have lasted me over five years. They aren’t a huge label but this pair has lasted me for ages and makes me feel great. That’s a luxury in itself wouldn’t you say?

I love these shoes because you can change the stickers on them according to your mood! How cute right?
