Having founded costume jewellery brand Isharya with her sister-in-law, Gauri Tandon knows a thing or two about style.
With 10 minutes to spare for The Silk Sneaker, she gives us an insight into her fashionable life.

1. Why did you start Isharya?In 2004, the void in the market for Indian-inspired luxury fashion jewelry became increasingly apparent to us and we started making jewelry for ourselves and our friends. Soon we started getting attention and orders and Isharya was born. 2. What is the one piece of jewellery that is an essential for every girl? Hoops- you can never go wrong with large hoop.  3. What are three things you can’t leave the house without?My phone, a piece of ISHARYA jewelry, a spritz of perfume 4. What’s your all time favourite beauty product? Dr. Diniyar Boxwalla’s  almond cream  5. What’s your signature scent? Le Labo Santal 336. What words of advice do you have for young entrepreneurs?Stay passionate about design. There’s so much that goes into building a brand but if the passion for design stays clean and clear, it permeates throughout everything and makes the brand stronger and more cohesive.  7.
