Regardless of how much black and white I may wear, there is no denying how much I love colours. Not only do I adore colours, but colour clashing is one of my favourite things to experiment with so when Spring/Summer 2017 decided that this was the new it thing on the fashion scene, I couldn’t be more excited. Of course, this is where Hush UK steps in to further fuel my colour obsession with their latest collection of red, yellow, pink and blue. If this isn’t making you feel ready and excited for spring, then I really don’t know what will.
Colour clashing is not as difficult as it may seem! It’s all about finding the right colour combinations. If you’re just starting out, I would go with complimentary colours like blue and red. I’ve done this here with a gorgeous Hush cardigan – perfect for those chilly Spring evenings! You can also add some colour through denim like the denim culottes you see here!
If you’re a bit more adventurous like me, why not go for this season’s most coveted combination? Everyone on the fashion scene is loving red and pink together. Although it may seem like a strange combination at first, the two actually go together perfectly! Another trick to acing colour clashing, is to take one colour and just work with all of it’s shades and colours in the same family together! The winged eyeliner look. It seems almost impossible. We get up to the mirror, eyeliner in hand, deep breath and then suddenly we get shaky! Trust me, it’s not as intimidating or as hard as you might think to get the look just right. So much so, that it’s my go to when I have a night out. I love this look because you can have so much fun with it! It really makes your eyes pop as well. You can go for a thick line with a big flick for a dramatic look, you can experiment with colours, or you can go for a thin line with a smaller flick for a more subtle look! Either way, getting your basics down for the perfect eyeliner wing is important and here’s how you achieve this beauty look!
Okay here we go! At this point, if you were going to put any eye shadow on, it should be on already! (Would you guys be interested in a post about how to make your eyes pop with eye shadow?) Look at your eye, where do you want the wing to end? Make a dot with your eyeliner at the spot where you want the tip of your wing to be. Remember, your flick goes upward so keep that in mind when making the dot!
Now, from the dot that you just drew, draw a line towards the middle of your eyelid. Don’t worry that there is space between the end of the lid and the line – you are going to fill this in! Go back to the tip of the wing and start to fill in the gap. You’ll see your wing take shape and the line will also become more defined.

Now from the centre of your eyelid, make an even line to the inside tip of your eyelid to complete the wing! Voila! So simple! The key is to just start from the end and go from there!

It’s not a total surprise that a part of the street style scene is embracing comfort along with personal style. After all, being comfortable in what you’re wearing is a part of pulling off a look with confidence. The hoodie is a favourite in everyone’s closet, no matter what you consider your personal style. I mean no one can resist that kind of comfort right? Although previously reserved for lazy days with Netflix and chocolate, the hoodie has gotten a serious upgrade in recent months, being pulled out for fashion months and street style alike.
Believe it or not, I spent a significant part of my high school career in hoodies so I had no problem getting on board with this. So how do you wear the hoodie everyday and still look fashionable? By pairing it with a blazer of course! I love the combination of a blazer and a hoodie because the contrast of the two pieces creates the perfect outfit balance while creating a unique yet eternally stylish look! Can’t go wrong with that!

The sun is shining lovelies, and that’s what is making this Monday so much better! The cherry blossoms are blooming, the bees are buzzing , spring is finally here and I couldn’t be happier to retire my winter coats for light suede mottos and my favourite bomber jackets! As much as I adore being back in London, I can’t help but miss the beautiful city of Paris. On our second day there, we had amazing luck with the weather when the sun parted just for a few hours for us to explore the city and to photograph the outfit I was wearing. One of my favourite sweaters is this gorgeous classic white one. It’s the kind of piece that feels extremely elegant and the detailing with the pearl buttons and the stripes is so chic! Plus I spent ages looking for it in my size. I went for a layered look and tucked the sweater into my jeans to create an elegant day time feel.This was the perfect contrast for my combat boots! It’s all about balance am I right?
I was so happy to be able to visit the Palais Royale and see this beautiful spot! It’s not something you can really miss when in Paris! In the spirit of discovery, I’ve discovered a brand new app for all you fashion lovers out there. Trove is my new best friend and is soon to be yours too. There is no hiding how excited I was to be able to attend Paris Fashion Week this year and I gave you a very quick glimpse of my fashion week outfit over Instagram and through my Paris Fashion Week diary which you can read here, for all my Paris favourites! Today I’m finally sharing all the details of my outfit with you, including direct links to all my pieces! I know how much you guys all loved the blouse I was wearing especially. It actually surprised a lot of people when I told them that it was from Self-Portrait!
I opted for this Self-Portrait blouse because I loved the colour combination of pink and red, and of course when I saw the ruffles on the sleeves I fell in love immediately. Something about the romantic sleeves immediately made me think of Paris! I always find that when I overthink a look it comes out as forced, so I wanted my look to really stay true to me and my personal style. With that in mind, I trusted my instinct and paired the blouse with a pair of khaki trousers – tailored and chic! Of course no look is complete without accessories and I couldn’t think of anything more perfect than my mother’s original Chanel pumps. (How amazing that she’s kept them in such fabulous condition? especially sine they don’t make this heel anymore!)
For some added texture, I went for this Loewe pouch, easy to fit everything I need and look stylish with, along with some statement earrings! Of course, we got very lucky that the sun came out just at the right moment, so I was able to wear my Song of Style x Gentle Monster sunnies too!
