It’s time to put your best foot forward this summer, and I mean that literally, with these 2019 summer shoe trends that I just can’t get enough of! Last year, dad sneakers took the fashion world by storm and were seen on the feet of almost every Instagrammer and blogger out there (except me.. I never got into that trend). This year, they are being replaced by a few more wearable and summery trends that I am falling hard for. From strappy sandals to chunky sandals, there is something for everyone with these trends!

Below you will find my top 3 summer 2019 trends for your shoe closet! I’ve also talked about where you can get them, and how you can style them! CHUNKY SANDALS

I never thought that I would be, but I’m loving this chunky sandal trend. There is something really retro and cool about this trend and I am so excited because I recently got my hands on a Prada pair. Although I haven’t had the weather to pull them out just yet, I have already come up with some really exciting ways to style them. They might seem very “dad sandal” esque but they can actually look very luxe and high fashion. Pair them with your favourite summer dress and ladylike bag for an extra high fashion feel.

STRAPPY SANDALS

This trend is probably the opposite of the chunky sandals trend for summer 2019. What I love about this is how ladylike and elegant these shoes are. They literally work with any outfit because they are so classic and chic and are actually a pair you should have in your closet no matter if they are “trending” or not. Pair them with jeans and a shirt like I have here or you can even make your favourite pair of summer shorts or skirt more city like with a pair of these. Perfect for literally any occasion, I would say this is the most timeless of the summer shoe trends.

SUMMER SLIDES

It all started when THOSE Christian Dior slides started to take over our Instagram feeds. Summer slides are not new and in fact, much like strappy sandals, are almost always something to have for the summer. This year though they are really trending, with all kinds of variations coming about. From embellished slides, to ones with buckles, there is literally one to go with every outfit so make sure you get your hands on a super sleek pair. You can pair your slides with a pair of Bermuda shorts and a chic blouse for the ultimate summer look, or even with a lovely shirt dress!

How To Be A Stylish Traveler

Here are all my tips to always being a stylish traveler and nailing the perfect airport outfit!

I’m kicking off my travels for the year and if you’ve kept up with my Instagram you will know exactly where I’m going! Something a lot of you ask me is what to wear to the airport and I think that this is an occasion where you can be stylish and comfortable (in fact, it’s a must!) The perfect airport outfit is one that makes you feel comfortable but also effortless. Here are my three tips when creating the perfect travel look:

1. Sneakers all the way
When travelling for a long haul flight, don’t overthink it. Stick to your sneakers! Sneakers look cool and are easy to get on and off especially during security. I travel in my Adidas NMD’s because they are by far my most comfy pair of sneakers!

2. Comfort can also be stylish
I always travel in track pants when I’m taking a flight that is any longer than an hour. I know that sometimes people think track pants look quite frumpy, but its all about finding the right pair. I found this INCREDIBLY soft pair from Topshop that is high waisted and looks so cool. The light colour immediately makes it look more chic.

3. Layer up!
I always feel super cold on planes so I pay particular attention to my layers. I like to add some colour to my outfit which I did with my jacket. I love that this jacket is comfortable yet colourful which makes my entire airport outfit look so cute right? It’s also an easy layer to take off if I feel too hot or snuggle up with if I feel cold!

How To Dress Like A Parisian With This Latest Spring Outfit

As much as I am a London girl at heart, I cannot deny that I always strive to dress like a Parisian. There is something about Paris street style that just oozes a level of cool and effortless. In many ways, it is exactly what I mean when I describe my style as “laid-back luxury”. After analysing all the street style photos from Paris Fashion Week I felt so inspired to take my Parisian style onto the streets of London and share with you a few tips on how to dress Parisian when you aren’t in Paris, with my latest spring outfit.

Of course, when a lot of girls think Paris, they think a chic blazer, cool jeans, block heels and a t-shirt. As much as that is my go to combination for a normal day, I wanted to channel the girlier styles that we see coming out of our favourite French city. Parisian women ooze confidence in everything they wear, and they always have something about their outfit that is a little extra special; it’s about that attention to detail. I brought that into my outfit with my favourite pink backless jumper. I love anything with a back detail and so does a Parisian!

French women also pay attention to their accessories and in this case, I paid special attention to my shoes. You will remember these kitten heels that I bought last year around my birthday and they are still one of my favourite pairs. I love that you can change the strap to suit any outfit. Of course, I had to add in a headband as well!

Lastly, Parisian women are no fuss femininity. Their outfits are not over thought out or overdone, they just go together. This outfit just went together for me. I felt comfortable and confident in my high waisted trousers and I think that showed in the confidence I felt while I was wearing this look!

This week we got a real taste of spring here in London and although I couldn’t take my spring outfits for a spin just yet (I was down with the flu, was such a bummer but all your amazing and positive messages on Instagram made me smile so much!) I am so excited to start planning out the cutest outfits that you all can rock this season. I am always taking inspiration from the fashion world around me, especially with all the beautiful street style coming out of Paris fashion week right now, but with all that said and done, there are three things that I always look forward to wearing every spring. 1. Spring skirts
I was recently asked what my go-to outfit is when I’m in a rush and more often than not you’re going to find me in a skirt and blouse/sweater (Can we stop saying the word sweater now that it’s almost spring?) I am so excited to start pulling out all my favourite spring skirts and stocking up on new ones! This spring, I’ve noticed there are a lot of mini and midi shapes trending, especially slip skirts! I’ve linked to some of my favourites here:

2. Pastel colours
I am such a spring and summer baby. I love all the beautiful colours associated with the season, especially pastels. Pastel pink is one of my all-time favourite colours when it comes to basically everything and I’ve already started to pull out my favourite pastel pieces, like this top handle Dior handbag. Pastels are always a fashion trend for spring and summer, but this season we are seeing a lot of pistachio green. I covered some of my favourite pistachio green pieces here!

3. Ankle boots
It’s time to pack those thigh high boots away and say hello to ankle boots. (There is only one outfit exception I’m making for high boots and you will see that one very soon!) This season we see a fashion trend carrying over from last year; cowboy boots. I was so excited when I finally got my hands on these Isabel Marant cowboy boots and I even wrote an entire review about them here. If there’s a boot style you need this year it’s this one! A Brand I’m Loving: Clare Waight Keller’s Givenchy

When I first heard that Claire Waight Keller was leaving Chloe and heading to Givenchy, I was incredibly curious to see how her creative vision was going to translate into a new brand. We’ve seen how this can go either way (ahem, did someone say new Celine? ahem) but she did not disappoint; Claire Waight Keller’s Givenchy has quickly become one of my favourite brands to love. Of course, it helps tons that the Duchess of Sussex is a huge fan too but am I allowed to say that I loved the brand even before the debut of Meghan’s wedding dress? (I did I swear!) Either way, when Farfetch asked me to style one of my favourite Givenchy pieces to celebrate the brand’s amazing presence on the red carpet for awards season, I was beyond ecstatic. (I’m not a cool fashion person who can keep it cool, when I feel excitement on the inside it shows!)

Farfetch has a fabulous selection of pieces from Givenchy, including some that are on amazing discount (like this skirt!) and others that are brand new. I’m especially loving the selection of statement hoodies and t-shirts (logomania is going nowhere guys). I wanted to keep things simple, elegant and true to the brand (so gotta add some edge!) so I styled my new skirt with a chic turtleneck, and thigh high boots. For that extra layer, I added in a faux fur jacket. I love the beautiful pleat detailing on this skirt that adds a touch of feminine to an otherwise slick look.

Have you ever noticed how Parisian woman are always superbly dressed regardless of the season? The same goes for women in Italy! As killer as their wardrobes might be, they all have one thing in common; they all have these 7 classic pieces every woman needs in her wardrobe so that they always has the best outfit ideas. So rather than one outfit formula, you have a range of pieces you can mix and match to fall back on no matter the weather or the day. My outfit today is actually styled completely with those pieces!

The first part of my outfit is a cosy hoodie. Every woman needs an elegant white hoodie that can be styled for a casual day or dressed up for a more special occasion. I paired mine with another essential, high waisted jeans. I love the lighter wash on these, perfect for a fresh winter look and great in the summer too. What really brings my outfit together is the most important essential of them all; a black blazer. You can add a blazer to literally any outfit to make it look more put together. I’ve dressed up an otherwise totally casual look with mine.

The fourth piece is a pair of kitten heels You can wear them in the day as I’ve done here, or at night with literally anything. They are the basis of a good shoe collection. Fifth, I have my Louis Vuitton clutch. If you haven’t guessed already, I believe the fifth piece of the puzzle is having a versatile bag. I love the idea of a clutch you can wear in the day or in the night. It’s the best way to go from desk to drinks! The last two pieces to add to the list are an A-line skirt and ankle boots. 3 Secrets To Staying Warm While Staying Stylish

The idea of pulling together a cute outfit on a cold rainy day can be daunting, especially when you want to be warm but stylish. Living in London has taught me that you can still create an effortless outfit, regardless of the weather. In my time, I’ve learned the key to creating a casual winter outfit as well as a few tips and tricks to stay warm in winter while still looking adorable.

A quick note about my look before I get to my must-know tips. My sweater and skirt are & Other Stories. I love both these pieces because they look so luxe! The sweater has an Isabel Marant vibe and the leather skirt is always in style. I completed my look with my Chanel Backpack and these gorgeous hair clips from The Tripletsss. They are three adorable bloggers who have just launched a fab jewellery line.

1.Layer, layer, and add another layer
You may not be able to see the layers I’m wearing in this outfit but I’ve actually got a layer underneath my incredibly chunky sweater. At this time of year, it’s all about the unseen layers and thermals. My Uniqlo heat tech totally saves me, especially in the run up to fashion week!

2.Keep your feet warm
When my feet are cold, I feel colder! I don’t know if that’s just a weird thing that happens to me but I swear that super warm socks and good boots make me feel warmer. I’m currently obsessed with these & Other Stories boots. I’ve been stopped on the street multiple times by people asking where they are from. Needless to say, everyone is shocked (and pleasantly surprised) that they are high street!

3. Invest in good outerwear
Although it isn’t pictured here, I have a selection of coats that I wear (with inners!) that keep me super warm. I always make it a point to invest in good outerwear that will last me for more than just a single winter. If you’re thinking about next season, August is the best time to invest in a new coat.

This Is The Only Statement Sweater You Need This Spring….

I’m not sure when the obsession with the slogan sweater began for me but I’m sure if I go digging through some of my childhood photographs, I’m sure to come across a few with me wearing statement sweaters and statement t-shirts! After all, some of the coolest casual outfits and street style looks to revolve around that slogan sweater; it literally provides the perfect spring summer outfit idea, just waiting for you to wear it!

This season I am obsessed with the coolest statement sweater that I spotted at Ba&sh. Anything with a pop of colour that reminds me of Paris is good in my books and I love how you can dress this piece up or down! I paired the sweater with a statement black skirt. The zips on this skirt let me adjust how high the slits on either side go, which means I can make an outfit casual like I did for this spring look, or I can make it a bit more formal! I love pieces that are versatile!

Like I said, you can dress this piece up or down. Pair it with your favourite denim mini or denim jeans for a more off-duty look. You can spice up something like that with a pair of kitten heels! You could even pair a statement hoodie like this with some faux leather leggings, some killer heels and statement earrings. The options are endless, but all outfit options I’ve tried and tested just for you!
