Now that spring has finally arrived, we can start thinking about the perfect spring and summer outfits! As you start to move into your warm-weather wardrobe, a must have is a cropped denim jacket. It doesn’t matter if you prefer yours to be a classic blue denim or a distressed embellished, a denim jacket is the perfect spring companion! Here is how I’m wearing a denim jacket this season…
I love the idea of creating denim on denim outfit, especially with different shades. I paired my Topshop cropped denim jacket with a denim white mini skirt. I love the idea of stripes especially when the weather gets warmer and my Claudie Pierlot sleevless striped top was the perfect piece for this look. I wanted my outfit to look more chic than casual so I added in my Dior saddlebag and my Dior kitten heels for an ultra-luxe look!
I wanted my accessories to be luxurious but still fun. My evil eye sunglasses chain is the perfect way to stay hands-free this summer while still looking fashionable. I also added in my baker boy hat; still a very cool piece to rock! I would love to know how you are styling your favourite denim pieces this summer! If you haven’t gotten your hands on some ultra cool items though, I’ve linked to some of my favourites below including a newer version of the cropped jacket I’m wearing here!

STYLE TIP: Cropped jackets are perfect if you are petite! They won’t overpower your figure.

As much as I am a London girl at heart, I cannot deny that I always strive to dress like a Parisian. There is something about Paris street style that just oozes a level of cool and effortless. In many ways, it is exactly what I mean when I describe my style as “laid-back luxury”. After analysing all the street style photos from Paris Fashion Week I felt so inspired to take my Parisian style onto the streets of London and share with you a few tips on how to dress Parisian when you aren’t in Paris, with my latest spring outfit.
Of course, when a lot of girls think Paris, they think a chic blazer, cool jeans, block heels and a t-shirt. As much as that is my go to combination for a normal day, I wanted to channel the girlier styles that we see coming out of our favourite French city. Parisian women ooze confidence in everything they wear, and they always have something about their outfit that is a little extra special; it’s about that attention to detail. I brought that into my outfit with my favourite pink backless jumper. I love anything with a back detail and so does a Parisian!
French women also pay attention to their accessories and in this case, I paid special attention to my shoes. You will remember these kitten heels that I bought last year around my birthday and they are still one of my favourite pairs. I love that you can change the strap to suit any outfit. Of course, I had to add in a headband as well!
Lastly, Parisian women are no fuss femininity. Their outfits are not over thought out or overdone, they just go together. This outfit just went together for me. I felt comfortable and confident in my high waisted trousers and I think that showed in the confidence I felt while I was wearing this look!

It’s all about how to wear neon this spring time!
Photos by Alise Jane
One of the biggest fashion trends of 2019 is neon. Not only is neon big for spring summer, but it’s also carried itself into the fall-winter 2019 shows as well. Now, I know what you’re thinking. Admiring a neon street style outfit is one thing and wearing it is a whole other thing. So here’s the real question, how do you wear neon and still look chic? More like, how do you wear neon on a regular day and not look like a walking traffic cone/highlighter. I have been determined to figure it out and I’m happy to announce I finally have! Here are my three tips on how to wear neon green pink or whatever colour you want a daily basis and still look chic.
1. Avoid stark contrasts like white or black
When wearing neon, you want your entire outfit to fit together and look like it all belongs together. Avoid stark contrasting colours like black or pure white because that will make the neon piece stand out even more, and not necessarily in a good way. That being said, you can wear dark colours like navy blue or light colours like cream like how I wore neon at London fashion week!
2. Colour blocking with neon works
Just because something is neon, doesn’t mean you can’t wear another colour. Something that works super well with neon is denim blue. If you’re wearing neon green, the easiest way to make it work for an everyday spring outfit is to pair it with your favourite blue jeans. Blue and green can be considered as colour blocking and it works super well with making your neon jumper or t-shirt look incredibly chic.
3. Stick to one
The number one rule to follow is that if you’re wearing neon, keep it to one neon piece. Avoid pairing your neon top with neon accessories or clothing. Having one point of focus in your outfit and working your pieces around that make your outfit look classier! For my look, I focused on my neon green jumper and let my other accessories compliment the look like my blue Emma Hyacinth shoes (they look like Manolo’s don’t they? I found them at a store in St. Christophers Place!) and my monogram Louis Vuitton bucket bag.

This week we got a real taste of spring here in London and although I couldn’t take my spring outfits for a spin just yet (I was down with the flu, was such a bummer but all your amazing and positive messages on Instagram made me smile so much!) I am so excited to start planning out the cutest outfits that you all can rock this season. I am always taking inspiration from the fashion world around me, especially with all the beautiful street style coming out of Paris fashion week right now, but with all that said and done, there are three things that I always look forward to wearing every spring. Here are your spring outfit essentials and how to style them already:
1. Spring skirts
I was recently asked what my go-to outfit is when I’m in a rush and more often than not you’re going to find me in a skirt and blouse/sweater (Can we stop saying the word sweater now that it’s almost spring?) I am so excited to start pulling out all my favourite spring skirts and stocking up on new ones! This spring, I’ve noticed there are a lot of mini and midi shapes trending, especially slip skirts! I’ve linked to some of my favourites here:
2. Pastel colours
I am such a spring and summer baby. I love all the beautiful colours associated with the season, especially pastels. Pastel pink is one of my all-time favourite colours when it comes to basically everything and I’ve already started to pull out my favourite pastel pieces, like this top handle Dior handbag. Pastels are always a fashion trend for spring and summer, but this season we are seeing a lot of pistachio green. I covered some of my favourite pistachio green pieces here!
3. Ankle boots
It’s time to pack those thigh high boots away and say hello to ankle boots. (There is only one outfit exception I’m making for high boots and you will see that one very soon!) This season we see a fashion trend carrying over from last year; cowboy boots. I was so excited when I finally got my hands on these Isabel Marant cowboy boots and I even wrote an entire review about them here. If there’s a boot style you need this year it’s this one! I’ve linked to some of my favourites here below:

As everyone turns their eyes to Milan Fashion Week, we are still watching all the beautiful street style photos from London Fashion week come out. So many of you had so many questions about all the looks I wore to London Fashion Week this year and I am so excited to share with you what I wore, how I picked my looks and how you can recreate them all!
This season I had the chance to attend four amazing shows and go backstage for two. It was so inspiring to be able to go behind the scenes, watch how the show comes together and then see it all in action! In terms of my outfits, I wanted to find a way to work in some of my favourite spring fashion trends, while still staying true to my personal style. I think one of the keys to personal style is finding a way to be comfortable in what you wear because when you are comfortable, it shows through confidence!
The trends I picked were neon, tie-dye, beige and hair accessories. Scroll down to see how I worked those and some other micro trends into my looks while still creating something classic.
For my first look of London Fashion Week I wanted to find a way to wear neon while still working it into my personal style. We all know I’m a huge fan of the slip skirt so I thought my Zara Neon Jumper was the perfect match for my cream silk skirt!
I also love the colour combination of this neon yellow/green with my navy blue Dior Saddle bag. To really bring the look together I added my white boots and my pearl hair clips.
This outfit was actually inspired by a look that was featured on my blog yesterday; It’s the perfect outfit for this in between season before we have a full blown spring! Check that out here!
My goal for all my street style looks for london fashion week, was to find a way to be comfortable in what I was wearing, while working the trends into my outfit.
I got the opportunity to go backstage at the Eudon Choi show and it was my first time ever going backstage for london fashion week. I was so amazed to see how the looks came together from clothes, to hair and make-up.
I wanted to work in a trend that I love into my outfit; tie-dye. It surprises most of my friends and readers that I love tie dye! I styled my Zara tie-dye summer dress with a chunky beige knit to make it weather appropriate.
For the Markus Lupfer presentation I was really feeling the idea of pastels. I fell in love with this Lemon Yellow dress from Zara because of the dramatic pufff sleeves!
To add a bit of classic chic to the outfit I paired it with a sleeveless blazer from Zara. The mix of tailoring and feminine gives the outfit a unique twist.
Sunglass chains are clearly my current favourite accessory to add as I used the same chain from my previous outfit on a pair of Oliver Peoples sunglasses. I wore my white office boots and my Dior top handle bag in pastel pink to complete my retro look!
One of my dreams has always been to attend a Peter Pilotto show. I was so fortunate to be able to go backstage with Code 8 Beauty and see how all the looks came together for one of my favourite designers.
For this show I went for a much more classic and simple look. I wore all beige; a beige sweater, a beige skirt, a beige coat, beige boots and for that pop of colour, I wore my new Prada velvet green headband.
The best part of this show was getting to meet both Eva Chen and Leonie! Totally a dream!

There is no denying that spring is in the air and no one is more excited about cute spring outfits than me! Not only do I love pulling out my favourite pieces like slip skirts and leather jackets, but my birthday also falls in the spring! Now as excited as we all may be, it’s not exactly sun shining, warm weather, rosé time just yet, which means that right now it’s all about transitional dressing and creating the perfect outfit for in between seasons; AKA March!
For me, it’s about mixing your favourite winter pieces with your favourite warm-weather pieces as I’ve done in this outfit here. This & Other Stories cardiganis a piece I’ve worn over and over and it still sparks so much joy. It is the perfect piece to layer over your favourite spring dress or over a cute cami and silk slip skirt. (I’ve linked to a similar Topshop slip skirt)
Yes, it’s officially time for your slip skirt to come out and play and there are so many ways you can style it! I styled my white silk slip skirt with a silk cami but you can also pair it with a fun knit or for an edgier look, a turtleneck and leather jacket! If you live in a warmer country though, just style it with a t-shirt for the perfect look. You can add a pop of colour with accessories!
To complete the look I added in my pearl hair clips. I’ve had a lot of questions about them and these are from Anthropologie. Although it says there is a back order on them I actually got mine super quickly after I ordered them. If you don’t feel like waiting though here are some similar ones! For a final pop of colour, I wore my Dior Saddle bag to bring the outfit together!

We’ve come to that point in the year (already!) where spring is at our fingertips and street style from new york fashion week and soon London is already teasing us with the best spring summer 2019 fashion trends. One of the best trends to rule all our favourite spring outfits for 2019 is none other than beige. Although you might think of beige as being boring, all-neutral outfits are set to be a favourite amongst the ultra fashionable. Not only because it’s an incredibly easy colour to wear and match, but also because it’s classic. The best part? You can always add your own twist to your beige aesthetic to make it trendier. So how do you wear beige without looking boring?
Here are my three tips to make beige a bit more exciting:
1.Mix shades
Beige doesn’t have to be all one shade. I mixed in a bit of chocolate brown with my turtleneck and an almost ecru shade with my cream knee high boots. The different shades of beige add in a new dimension to the look.
2. Play with accessories
I wanted to give my otherwise classic look a bit of a twist. I removed the belt off my skirt and tied it over my oversized cardigan. I then added in a cowboy hat for a modern update! Accessories have a great way of changing an outfit and updating an otherwise classic look.
3. Beige is for everyone
A lot of brown girls I know are afraid of wearing beige because they feel it almost blends in with their skin tone. Beige looks great on everyone, which is why it’s such a classic and versatile colour. If you’re not ready to go monochrome with it just yet, try pairing it in with black or white, You’ll be hooked onto this classic shade in no time. Another great pairing is beige and gold!
If you live in a warm country and are already embracing spring, you can recreate this outfit with a beige t-shirt and high waisted skirt. Complete your outfit with a beige cowboy hat like mine and add in some boho accessories like layered necklaces, or even a chain for your sunglasses like I did here.
So, are you embracing the new neutral this year? I almost wish I saved this look for LFW but I’m so excited to share it with you guys already!
Although the rain may be pouring down in London this week, there is no denying that summer is well on its way, which means it’s time to get your summer wardrobe in order and make the most of those cute summer tops! If you’re thinking those white off the shoulder blouses and wrap around shirts are just for the beach, you’re wrong! I always believe in making the most of your wardrobe and finding ways to wear your favourite summer holiday pieces in your city too! That’s the way to guarantee no shortage of summer outfits! Here’s how to style that adorable summer top for your next day out on the town!
This Esse Vie white, off shoulder blouse, is perfect for a day in the sun in the likes of Capri or Cannes, but it’s equally adorable for a casual summer day outfit too! I wanted to pair this summer blouse with something edgier, so I opted for a layered leather skirt. I love that the layers of the skirt still make the outfit quite feminine, but the leather adds that perfect contrast!
Accessories are always key to any summer outfit! The baker boy hat is still a trending piece for 2018 and it’s a great way to dress down this beautiful blouse! I paired it with my favourite Chanel Boy Bag and Churchs boots and I suddenly had the perfect outfit for a summer day!
How do you create your summer outfits? Do you have any summer blouses you can’t wait to style? Share with me in the comments below!
I have a confession to make. Up until very recently, I wasn’t a fan of floral printed tops. I couldn’t imagine creating summer outfits based on floral prints. Although summer outfits on Tumblr and Pinterest were full of this much-loved print, I wasn’t getting on the bandwagon; enter the cutest floral top I had ever seen. On one of my recent trips to Topshop, I discovered an adorable selection of floral blouses. Perfect for spring, perfect for summer, the floral blouse was suddenly becoming the key piece in so many summer outfit ideas I lost count! So much so, that I knew I had to share this with you! So, if you’re like me and need a bit of guidance on how to make floral patterns work for you this summer, here are my three tips!
1. Pick your print wisely.
When it comes to prints, are you a go big or go home sort of person or a more minimal the better type? If you’re just delving into the world of floral prints, try something that is a little smaller and less overwhelming. It’s easier to style and I guarantee is great to ease into this print! That’s why I love this Topshop floral off shoulder top so much. It’s so easy to style because the print is so small! (Mine is sold out but there is one similar here)
2. Take note of colours
A pattern might look fabulous on you, but if the colour is all wrong then it’s not going to work! Make sure the colour combinations are flattering. This is one of the key factors that can make a print look super luxe, or the complete opposite, regardless of where it’s from! I opted for darker colours because I felt they were more flattering but I’ve been eyeing some lighter floral pieces too! I’ve linked to them in the little carousel below! (Make sure your Adblocker is turned off!)
3. Pair it well
If you’re wearing a print, be aware of what you are matching it with! Although print on print is not unheard off, it can be challenging to match two florals together well. I like to keep the rest of my pieces understated and if I really feel like I want to add another element, I go for it with accessories. I love these high waisted pants with this top as the looser cut adds a great contrast to the tight fit of the blouse! I added my favourite Gucci Bee Bag for another element of surprise!
How do you wear florals? Are you a floral lover or hater?
