If you haven’t noticed already one of my favourite outfit combinations is a cute skirt and a top/t-shirt. This doesn’t change when I’m thinking of cute and casual summer outfits. Now that the sun is really starting to shine and the weather is picking up again, it’s time to start thinking about mini skirts. You know me, I’ll wear a cute mini skirt come rain or shine so I have collated a list of the 10 best mini skirts out there that look super luxe. So if you’re trying to think of cute summer outfits for your next vacation, or just need a bit of a summer wardrobe upgrade, these are the best skirts around. What I love is that there’s a range of prices, from high street to higher end but they all look equally luxe and expensive (even though some of them are really not expensive.. like trust me, including this Zimmermann dupe!)

For my outfit today I wanted to make a bit of a statement. I paired this Topshop (yes you read that right, it’s Topshop, not Zimmermann!) ruffle skirt with a puffy sleeve top. Puff sleeves are having a real moment right now and I love the volume it adds to the look. If you are a petite girl like me though, I recommend pairing it with a mini skirt like this because otherwise you risk looking too small! To pull the look together I added in a headband and my favourite Prada sandals. I wear these soo much because they are soo comfy!

Some of you call them matching sets, others call them a coord, regardless of what you refer to them as, they are very much back as one of the spring-summer 2019 trends! I always find that one thing you guys are always looking for is summer outfit inspo, specifically casual summer outfits that are easy to wear and easy to put together. That’s why coord sets are such a good option; they literally require no effort because the outfit combination is already made for you! Makes sense why they are a street style favourite right?

The matching set I’m wearing in today’s outfit is from Maje, one of my all-time favourite brands. I fell in love with the blue and I loved that the jacket was not a blazer. The femininity of the shorts with the boxy jacket creates the perfect contrast! I paired it with a silk cami underneath but you can also just wear a plain white or black t-shirt!

The coord set is not the only spring summer 2019 trend I’m exploring in this outfit, I’ve also got another favourite on; hair accessories. Hair clips and bows are a huge trend and I have a feeling that they will be here to stay for a while. As I build up my collection of hair bands, pearl clips and more, I wanted to show you how it’s really easy to wear such a feminine accessory with any outfit. Although this set is quite trendy, the femininity of my Chanel hair clip works super well with it. I’ve linked to some more affordable options for hair bows below! If you live in a warmer country, don’t shy away from a matching set. You can always drape the jacket/blazer over your t-shirt to avoid the heat and still get the same effect! So tell me, will you be trying any of these trends?

I was walking around Notting Hill with Alise the other day and we were so excited to see all the beautiful flowers blooming and the rows of magnolia trees. What made me even more excited, was that it’s finally time to start thinking about spring and summer dresses! This year, I am really feeling midi and maxi dresses, especially in linen and tie-dye! That really works for me because tie-dye also happens to be one of the biggest spring summer fashion trends for 2019.

For this summer dress outfit, I styled my tie-dye maxi dress with a light utility jacket, both from Zara. I love the mix of the pastel colours of the dress with the khaki of my spring jacket. For another pop of colour, I added in a little neck scarf. I get a lot of questions about this one. It’s from Dior and it has an S on it (for Shloka obviously, but I seem to get a lot of emails saying “Dear Silky”. Is that worse than Dear The Silk Sneaker?) They still have many available in every letter!

Accessories wise, I kept it simple with one of my favourite pairs of flats; my Malone Souliers pink flats. My favourite part of the outfit has to be my sunglasses chain! I know that sunglasses chain are still a micro-trend and not everyone has gained the courage to wear them, but I hope that all the times I’ve featured them and plan to feature them show you guys how versatile and how cool they are! How To Style That Cute Summer Top for A Casual City Look

Although the rain may be pouring down in London this week, there is no denying that summer is well on its way, which means it’s time to get your summer wardrobe in order and make the most of those cute summer tops! If you’re thinking those white off the shoulder blouses and wrap around shirts are just for the beach, you’re wrong! I always believe in making the most of your wardrobe and finding ways to wear your favourite summer holiday pieces in your city too! That’s the way to guarantee no shortage of summer outfits! Here’s how to style that adorable summer top for your next day out on the town!

This Esse Vie white, off shoulder blouse, is perfect for a day in the sun in the likes of Capri or Cannes, but it’s equally adorable for a casual summer day outfit too! I wanted to pair this summer blouse with something edgier, so I opted for a layered leather skirt. I love that the layers of the skirt still make the outfit quite feminine, but the leather adds that perfect contrast!

Accessories are always key to any summer outfit! The baker boy hat is still a trending piece for 2018 and it’s a great way to dress down this beautiful blouse! I paired it with my favourite Chanel Boy Bag and Churchs boots and I suddenly had the perfect outfit for a summer day!

Venice: Where to Eat, Drink & Play

Italy charmed me long ago when I fell in love with Capri. It managed to do it all over again, this time in Venice. Luring me with promises of gelato, my weight in spaghetti and stunning views (all these promises were fulfilled), Venice stole my heart. Theres nothing quite as satisfying as getting lost in the little colourful streets, the bridges over the canals, or over a glass of Aperol Spritz. With art and culture pouring out at every corner, there’s never a dull moment in this lagoon city.

No matter what corner we turned or bridge we crossed, there was always a beautiful view waiting for us!

Explored Venice’s little streets on our second day in my favourite Self-Portrait top. Plus I found a boater hat on the streets of Venice that I have been hunting for, for ages!

For the best Lobster spaghetti around, try this beautiful restaurant called La Calcina on the water – if its squid ink spaghetti you’re after, look no further than Al Mascaron!

If you’re a lover of modern art, you must check out the Peggy Guggenheim collection – stunning, especially the Andy Warhol piece!

For the best gelato – try La Boutique del Gelato -my favourite flavour there was a mix of chocolate, honey and rum. It’s called Caribe! For a more scenic view, try Nicos!

On our third day I opted for this Free People dress – I love dresses in the summer, especially on a vacation! They are so easy and I love the embroidery on this one. It was the perfect gondola dress too!

Lady in Red

Spring – the arrival of all things beautiful and colourful. What better way to celebrate that than with the power colour of all power colours; Red.

For those of you interested in a little bit of cultural insight, it is the eve of Holi today in India – the festival celebrating the first day of spring. Tomorrow, the streets will be full of people rejoicing by throwing coloured powder and water balloons at one another. Spring after all is the arrival of all things bright and wonderful. Although it’s been a very long time since I found myself in a colour war face off (Trust, I know all the tricks and tips), I’m celebrating in my own way. Out comes all my colourful clothing.. or as much colour I have in my closet!

White Shirt, Tied New Ways

You must know by now that I love a good take on a classic – but if you can’t find one, you might as well make one. In this case, when it’s too hot for a linen shirt, or you just don’t feel like it, why not try tying the sleeves and creating yourself an off shoulder blouse – This show to wear a white shirt! Plus, I’m a huge fan of a good bow (#TeamBlairWaldorf). If you’re wondering how I did it, button the shirt on your chest, then take the sleeves around to the front and tie! A printed skirt and some sneakers and you’re set for any day of this summer – yes it is still summer, let’s milk August for what it’s worth!

Graduand to Graduate

For those of you who follow along on Instagram, you’ll know that I graduated quite recently. What felt like it would never come, finally arrived, and it’s almost strange to think that I’ve gone from student, to full time blogger, from graduand to graduate. There’s much to achieve, and the road ahead is full of goals and hurdles I want to reach and cross. Enough contemplating and reflecting for now – for all of you who, who commented about my dress, here are the details and a couple more shots of this special moment! I’m incredibly proud to say that I graduated with the highest GPA in my class (Spot the trophy!) To infinity and beyond? #DisneyKidAtHeart

Summer Layers

Whoever thought that on some of the hottest days of the years I would be working on my layering? Don’t worry, I don’t plan on wearing any turtlenecks or scarves while the sun shines down on us, nor do I suggest you do – but if you’re in the mood to spice up your latest summer shirt dress, then why not try this? I decided to layer a tiered skirt over my shirt dress for an added bit of volume and a bit of summer fun (Who doesn’t think that tiered skirts are fun?)
