Now that spring has finally arrived, we can start thinking about the perfect spring and summer outfits! As you start to move into your warm-weather wardrobe, a must have is a cropped denim jacket. It doesn’t matter if you prefer yours to be a classic blue denim or a distressed embellished, a denim jacket is the perfect spring companion! Here is how I’m wearing a denim jacket this season…

I love the idea of creating denim on denim outfit, especially with different shades. I paired my Topshop cropped denim jacket with a denim white mini skirt. I love the idea of stripes especially when the weather gets warmer and my Claudie Pierlot sleevless striped top was the perfect piece for this look. I wanted my outfit to look more chic than casual so I added in my Dior saddlebag and my Dior kitten heels for an ultra-luxe look!

I wanted my accessories to be luxurious but still fun. My evil eye sunglasses chain is the perfect way to stay hands-free this summer while still looking fashionable. I also added in my baker boy hat; still a very cool piece to rock! I would love to know how you are styling your favourite denim pieces this summer! We’ve all been there. You’re curled up on the sofa with the latest Netflix show and you get the call. How could you forget that holiday party was tonight! You know what I’m talking about right? In those moments, all sense of what makes a good Christmas party outfit, or any party outfit for that matter, goes out the window. The stress of having to come up with an adorable yet casual party outfit can make us even later! So what do you do? You come to me of course! For situations like these I rely on my go to look; leather leggings and an embellished jumper. Note; this makes for a really cute and casual new years eve outfit too!

Leather leggings are something all of you love to see in outfits because everyone is always wondering how to style them! Leather leggings like these are a super skinny fit so I like to style them with something that is looser. You still want that wow factor in your outfit, without looking like you tried too hard, so avoid a basic sweater and instead go for an embellished one. It’s official, autumn is here which means it’s finally ankle boot season. I love summer as much as the next girl but I also love the change of season and the idea of breaking out a fresh pair of ankle boots, whether they are snake print, cowboy boots or even velvet shoes, makes me so excited. Maybe it’s the concept of change or maybe it’s just having run out of what to do with my summer wardrobe, whatever it may be, my autumn boots are out. Now, I know how important it is to have a pair of black ankle boots in your wardrobe (a staple!) but it’s time to update your style for autumn winter 2018.

As with any season, there are certain ankle boots that you need to stay extra stylish this season. I’ve narrowed it down to three categories: animal prints, cowboy boots and velvet boots. THE ANIMAL PRINT BOOTS

Animal prints are a huge trend for autumn winter 2018 and that means leopard print, snake print and croc effect boots. I love this trend because if you buy the right pair, they will actually last you far beyond just one season. Cowboy boots are here partner! I love them so much that my shoe of the month for September was dedicated to my Isabel Marant Cowboy boots. If you’re afraid of this trend, it’s all about buying a pair that isn’t too “country” and would still look fabulous with your favourite turtleneck dress or leather leggings. I would opt for shorter boots and preferably in neutral colours. You can really take it up a notch by getting cowboy boots in a snake print! Velvet is one of those materials that is in style every autumn winter. It is genuinely timeless and you would never go wrong by investing in a velvet piece, whether it’s a velvet dress, velvet shoes or in this case, velvet boots. I bought my velvet boots about 2 years ago and I wear them on repeat come autumn. Have some fun with colours, velvet always looks beautiful in jewel tones and it’s a great way to add colour and interest to any basic autumn outfit! You could also pair your velvet boots with your holiday party outfit when the time comes! Trust me, it looks incredible! Here are my picks below:
