I’m Seeing Polka Dots…

With spring finally, on its way, I’m getting more and more excited to share these spring outfit ideas with you guys. One of the trending patterns for spring and summer is a pattern that I never thought I could wear, but now find myself falling in love with; polka dots. It all started when I fell in love with this beautiful polka dots shirt from The Fable. The Fable is an Australian brand that specialises in gorgeous silk shirts. I even grabbed this beautiful striped shirt from them! If you’re like me and just starting to take the leap into polka dots, then starting with a shirt like this one is a great way to ease your way into one of the seasons favourite patterns. Trust me though, once you see how amazing they look on, you’ll be filling your cart full of polka dots! I’ve linked to some of my favourite polka dot pieces below for you to check out!

What I love most is creating casual outfits like this one that still has so many points of interest! I wanted to add some colour and fun to the look so I added in my crushed velvet jacket. I love how the white, red and blue from my jeans come together so well. Of course, I had to feature the Topshop mom jeans that I haven’t been able to stop talking about! I am so obsessed with how well they fit and they are the perfect piece for your spring wardrobe! I love Topshop denim because of their petite sizes. I’m wearing a petite size here which fits me perfectly (I’m only 5’1) but they also have the same style in regular sizes! To complete the look I added to my Chanel pumps. I love these Chanel shoes because they were my mums which I guess makes them kind of vintage? There you have it, the perfect spring outfit for a casual day out!

What do you think about polka dots?

I’m a huge fan of Ouai and their amazing dry shampoo. This week I took the plunge and tried their Clean Shampoo and I could not have been happier. You know there are some shampoos that actually make you want to wash your hair? This is one of them. My hair has so much volume, it feels smooth, clean and silky! I’m still getting ready for spring regardless of the fact that it’s snowing outside. Especially because the weather changes so quickly! A great way to ease yourself into the next season is with your accessories.

This & Other Stories clutch is the perfect way to add a burst of colour to your wardrobe and make your day brighter too! I’ve been wearing it on repeat! This one is only £

I’m a huge fan of Essie Polish and their amazing range of colours. Lilac is supposed to be the trending colour of the year but it’s always been a colour I’ve been hesitant off. Maybe a great way to take the plunge is with this awesome nail polish colour? If anything is making me love lilac, it’s essie!

What do you think? Will you be getting it?

Yellow is the colour of the season it seems as it takes over the fashion week street style scene! I’m getting in on that with this amazingly cute knit from River Island. I’m obsessed with the button detail and the cold shoulder! Another piece that I can wear now and well into spring!

It comes in a few colours and is only £24.

As A Colour Corrector

Dark circles are something that every girl has and struggles with. You can cover them up with your concealer but most of the time it’s not a clean slate that you end up with, but layers and layers of concealer. What you need is your favourite red/orange lipstick. Our dark circles have a blue undertone. To combat this, you need to correct the colour on your skin by using an opposite colour; red/orange. If you have a fair complexion, I would suggest red. If you are closer to my complexion, go for more of an orange. I use the Chanel Rouge Allure in shade 96. Apply the lipstick on your dark circles using a lip brush. Then dap your concealer on top and blend. You’ll end up with an orange colour correction. You can then apply more concealer on top to blend or foundation! The finished product? Perfectly bright eyes and skin!

As Eyeshadow

A beauty trend for 2018 is matching your eyes and your lips. The runway has been full of pink eyelids to match glossy pink lips. An easy way to get that look is with the Dior Lip Glow. Just apply directly on your eyelids and then on your lips. If you’re looking for something a bit smokier and bolder though, try this. Apply your lipstick of choice on your eyelids and dab so that it starts to blend in. Then, with your fingers or your flat eyeshadow brush, apply your eyeshadow of choice on top and start to blend! What you get is a very smokey and gorgeous colour that has the same tint to your lips! Perfect for girls night out!

Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow: The Dolce Vita

As A Blush

A lot of the times I use my lipstick as a blush because the pigment is much stronger and there are so many more fun shades to choose from! Something I love to do in winter and spring is to mix my lipstick with a few drops of my favourite liquid highlighter. The result is a blush with some shimmer! This also lightens the lipstick colour making it more wearable for your cheeks! The perfect way to add some shine and colour to your face! Plus, it stays on much longer than any powder blush!
