It’s that time of year when all we want to wear is a gorgeous summer dress that makes us look and feel amazing. With your inbox full of summer weddings to attend and your calender filled with upcoming holidays, parties and events, you need the right summer dress to get you ready for it all! Today I’ve highlighted a selection of summer midi and maxi dresses that are perfect summer wedding guest outfits, but also perfect for any other plans you might have this summer. So look no further for cute summer dresses, I’ve got them all for you here!
The dress I’m wearing is a Zara piece. I love the halter tie neck, which makes it the perfect summer dress to wear in the day, but also a great going out dress! It can be dressed up or down. I paired it with some colourful summer sandals and my Amelia x Skinny Dip pearl hoops (gifted). I believe that these have been recently restocked after being sold out almost immediately post-launch! Make sure you grab a pair before they are all gone!
It’s all about how to style your favourite chunky sandals, aka DANDALS this summer for the perfect outfit.

One of the most controversial fashion trends for summer 2019 is the return of chunky sandals. Call them what you will, sandals, dad sandals or “dandals”, they are back to add a bit of fun to your casual summer outfit. From Chanel sandals to River Island, there’s a pair for everyone but most of you have messaged me saying you don’t actually know HOW to wear them! So, if you’re looking to update your cute weekend outfit and add in a pair of chunky summer sandals, then here are three tips to get you there:
1. Ditch the jeans, pair your sandals with…
Skirts or shorts! Sandals like these can have a bit of a masculine feel to them so styling them with feminine pieces like maxi skirts, flowy dresses and shorts makes them way more wearable and stylish.
2. Keep your accessories ladylike
When going for SUCH a casual pair of shoes, try to elevate your outfit by keeping your other accessories elegant. Think top handle bags, gold jewellery and elegant sunglasses! Those sandals will be way cooler than when your dad wore them.
3. Take them everywhere…
The best part of chunky sandals is that they can work anywhere! Don’t abandon them on your next summer vacation because they pair perfectly with your favourite bikinis and swimsuits! Otherwise, wear them to brunch with some chic trousers and a t-shirt for a simple yet cool look!

From pearl hair clips to slogan hair clips and knot headbands to jeweled headbands, hair accessories are having a serious moment right now. With everyone trying to get their hands on the coolest pieces out there, it can sometimes feel overwhelming when trying to figure out where to look for that specific piece. That’s where I come in; it’s safe to say that I’m a hair accessory fanatic and have been for a long time now. I have broken down for you where to get all those key pieces that you’ve been looking for at every budget. Get shopping before they all run out, some of these are serious hidden treasures!
For as long as I can remember I have worn headbands. From my days as a toddler all the way into adulthood, I have collected headbands. For padded Alice bands or jewelled headbands or even a simple knot headband, there is a whole range of places to look. If you prefer to go try them on in store, I recommend going to Fenwick on Bond Street for their amazing hair accessory selection. If you’re happy to shop online check out some of these stores;
Grand Bloom Store (Etsy)
Etsy is such a treasure chest of amazing items, especially when it comes to cute accessories. I love Grand Bloom for their headband selection, including this fabulous braided headband and their entire selection of padded ones.
Never Not Retro
Another incredible Etsy find, this store has the most beautiful headbands, personalised bows and earrings. They are branching out into accessories and you’ll notice that a lot of your favourite influencers actually shop here!
Jennifer Behr
Jennifer Behr is a blogger and celeb favourite and my wishlist is full of her amazing pieces. Granted it’s a bit pricey, if you have the opportunity to get one of her special pieces I would. If not though, check out any of the Etsy stores I’ve listed in this post and you will find a super similar alternative.
Lele Sadoughie
Just like Jennifer Behr, her items are a little pricey but are worth it! If not, my Etsy favourites have super similar pieces so you can still get that luxe look.
Everyone loves a statement hair clip. What started with pearl hair clips has now evolved into a whole range from personalised slogans to tortoise shell. Here’s where to get the look:
Free People
I love the Free People accessories section and they were on point with their hair clip selection. You can literally find EVERYTHING you are looking for right here.
Most Coveted (Etsy)
Another Etsy store to favourite, Most Coveted is great at picking up on luxe looking trends and recreating them so you can get a luxe look without the price tag.
Bauble Bar
Bauble bar are the queens when it comes to jewellery and now they are the queens in hair accessories too. Have you seen their amazing section where you can personalise your clips?
Shopbop
One of my favourite multi brands also stocks all your favourite hair designers and has the most amazing selection of Hair clips. Want to narrow the search further? Look at Shashi, Kitsch or Lelet NY
Scrunchies are making MASSIVE comeback guys! It’s such a fun and cute way to add a bit of fun to your look. Here are my favourites to check out:
Slip
They started off as a brand you looked at for the best silk sleep masks and now they have extended out into beautiful silk hair accessories too.
LoveShackFancy
You may be lusting after the brands summer-ready dresses but till then grab one of their adorable scrunchies. Already added to my bag!
Hemant & Nandita
I love this brand – they are from India! They make the most beautiful patterned clothes and now the cutest hair ties too! Check it out for something fun and different.

Sometimes the easiest summer outfit ideas are the coolest too and more often than not I find myself reaching for jeans and a t shirt, especially when I’m in a rush. I’m sure that a lot of you are the same, right? Often I get asked how to style jeans, especially in the summer and still create a lust worth outfit that screams stylish. Although it may seem like your favourite white t shirt and jeans isn’t “dressy” enough, it’s actually the perfect summer outfit. All you need to do to dress up this outfit combination is to use these three simple styling tricks.
1. Add Colour
I always find that adding a pop of colour can change an entire outfit. Swap your favourite white t shirt for a pink one like I did, or literally any other colour. The other day I wore this exact outfit but with a grey t-shirt and I got so many compliments.
2. Hair Statements
We all know that hair accessories are super hot right now and they don’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Add in a statement hair band or some cute hair clips to really dress up your look.
3. Shoes To Talk About
I always say that accessories are worth investing in, and that means shoes! I love when you take a super simple outfit and add a really fun accessory to it. Shoes are a great conversation starter so opt for something fun and colourful. Dress up the look with some serious statement heels!
Here is my travel diary of my amazing couple of days in Seville.

It was our very first time in Seville and we were attending a beautiful summer wedding (Don’t worry, I will be having a post on what to wear to a summer wedding and more about the perfect wedding guest outfit soon). I was so excited to discover a new part of Spain that I had heard so much about. Not only had I heard that it is one of the most beautiful places in Spain, but also one of the most romantic! Trust me, Seville lived up to all my expectations. So here are my tips on the best things to do in Seville, where to stay and the best tapas to chow down on.
Where to Stay
We stayed in the Gran Melia Colon which was a lovely hotel and very centrally located. The most popular hotel in Seville is Hotel Alfonso. It’s a beautiful property and if you don’t stay there I recommend popping by for a drink on their terrace.
What To See
Make time to see the Alcazar, it takes around 2-3 hours if you want to see the whole thing. I wish we had more time to explore all the little streets of the city but I would not miss out on Plaza De Espana. It is a beautiful square in the middle of a park. It’s the perfect photo spot as well and it’s truly stunning.
In terms of food, I highly recommend the spot we went to which was El Pinton.
What To Wear
I like to pack for a location and one of the best pieces of advice I took from Aimee Songs book was to look at the place you are going and the colours of the location and pack accordingly! I reccomend summer dresses in pastel colours or warm tones like red or orange. Comfortable shoes to walk around and explore and a chic fan because guys, its HOT.
Here is a look at my trip, what I wore to this wedding and where to get my look…
For the first night at this beautiful summer wedding I wore a floral maxi dress from Reformation. The style of the dress made it feel so grand. I paired it with my Kurt Geiger Leonie heels and this stunning fan I found on Etsy.
The next day I wore this handkerchief style midi dress from & Other Stories. I love the pastel light colours which worked so well with the city’s beautiful tiles.
I paired it with these super cool sandals that I found in a local London store called Emma Hyacinth. They are not available online BUT I have found a similar pair which i have linked for you below!
For the last night, I wore an old orange gown which never feels old when I wear it. This gown is from Indian designer Monisha Jaising and the colour always makes me feel so special! The fact that it was golden hour was even better.
My bag is also from an Indian brand called Manaaiki. They do lots of custom designs so I recommend giving them a look on Instagram. You can DM them for more details!
Thank you to Klorane for taking me on this press trip.

One of my most frequently asked questions is what is your haircare routine? What is the best shampoo for dry, dull or thin hair? How do you keep your hair thick? Haircare is such a huge part of my life and beauty routine, especially growing up in India where we take our locks very seriously. I grew up with a strict haircare regiment that was passed on to me by my mother, who learnt from her mother and so on. Of course along the way we all pick up our own tips and tricks, and I love sharing these with you. So when Klorane reached out to me to take me on a press trip (ahh my first press trip!) all about their new aquatic mint shampoo and conditioner, it seemed like the natural and obvious answer would be YES. Especially, since I have been using their products for so long (If you haven’t heard me talk about their peony shampoo then you need to watch my stories more!)
Through the trip we got to experience their labs where they harvest their own plants and flowers which are then directly extracted and used in their infamous formulas. We even experienced their green houses where they research various species of plants, some of which are endangered around the world. It only made sense that they had discovered what one might call a “super” plant, which also happens to be a magic ingredient for our hair; Aquatic mint.
Essentially, Aquatic mint acts as a natural purifier and is able to clean water from pollutants. It does this through its sophisticated roots system, and in this way, the Pierre Fabre foundation has teamed up with a local lab to use aquatic mint, in a sustainable way, to clean a local body of water that has been polluted with led and other metals from a nearby mill. It is amazing to see a brand give back to the local community to make the water they use everyday safer and cleaner.
It is this same plant that is also used to protect our hair from the harsh city environment and pollution. The leaves of this plant are used in the Klorane aquatic mint shampoo and conditioner. By creating a sort of barrier around our hair and sebum, the aquatic mint is able to protect our hair from city pollution and stop it from looking dry, dull, dirty and lifeless. This shampoo is all about detoxifying your scalp and hair because a healthy and happy scalp leads to healthy and happy hair. The best part? I got actual scientific proof on this trip that IT WORKS. If you want to see more you can see it all in my Instagram stories (I have a Toulouse & Montpellier highlight!)
Is this a shampoo and conditioner you would try? I recommend using it at least once a week

Nothing looks more put together than a coordinated set, I can guarantee that. I already admitted my love for the perfect two-piece outfit with this look, but today I wanted to show you need a matching set in your wardrobe now. When I think of summer I think of floral prints, crop tops and high waists; how amazing would it be if you could have it all in one outfit? Ta-da; that is literally my outfit today! The reason I love matching sets like these is because you can wear them for so many different occasions and you don’t have to think about them, My floral matching skirt and top set is from & Other Stories. I could wear this for a formal lunch with my girls or I could even dress it up and wear it to a summer wedding; its the perfect summer wedding guest outfit don’t you think?
One of my followers even came up with the most fabulous idea. She suggested dressing it up with Indian jewellery and wearing it as a lehnga!
Matching sets work because it’s not just one outfit, it’s many outfits. You can mix and match the two pieces with anything else in your wardrobe and you suddenly have double if not triple the number of outfits. Perfect when you’re stumped for what to wear in the summer. I have highlighted the best matching sets that are available right now so that you can get this ultra-luxe look.

These are the skirts you are going to wear on all your summer holidays, every weekend at brunch and next summer too! Here we go…

If you haven’t noticed already one of my favourite outfit combinations is a cute skirt and a top/t-shirt. This doesn’t change when I’m thinking of cute and casual summer outfits. Now that the sun is really starting to shine and the weather is picking up again, it’s time to start thinking about mini skirts. You know me, I’ll wear a cute mini skirt come rain or shine so I have collated a list of the 10 best mini skirts out there that look super luxe. So if you’re trying to think of cute summer outfits for your next vacation, or just need a bit of a summer wardrobe upgrade, these are the best skirts around. What I love is that there’s a range of prices, from high street to higher end but they all look equally luxe and expensive (even though some of them are really not expensive.. like trust me, including this Zimmermann dupe!)
For my outfit today I wanted to make a bit of a statement. I paired this Topshop (yes you read that right, it’s Topshop, not Zimmermann!) ruffle skirt with a puffy sleeve top. Puff sleeves are having a real moment right now and I love the volume it adds to the look. If you are a petite girl like me though, I recommend pairing it with a mini skirt like this because otherwise you risk looking too small! To pull the look together I added in a headband and my favourite Prada sandals. I wear these soo much because they are soo comfy!
How are you wearing mini skirts this summer? Did you find any you like in my post?
