Firstly, happy almost weekend! It’s been a bit of a long week as I recover from the festivities of the weekend. It felt even longer since I started the 30 Day Sugar Challenge but it’s almost Friday and I am so ready! Most of my closest friends work in offices during the week. So when the weekend finally arrives, they can’t wait to shed their week wear and hop into their weekend outfits. That means, that the blazer is tossed to the side. Now here’s the thing. I love a good black blazer. It’s chic, it’s refined, it looks amazing, what’s not to love about it? Don’t let your work week take away from one of the key pieces in your closet! It’s time to make the most of your wardrobe!
Today I want to inspire you to wear that black blazer over the weekend and still make it look and feel casual and cool! I’ve put together the perfect weekend outfit with my favorite black blazer – Your blazer just got a casual upgrade! The key to wearing a blazer on the weekend and achieving that street style esque look is balance. To balance out the structured fit, opt for your most casual pieces.
I paired mine with some loose track pant style pants and sneakers! You really don’t get more casual than that! Not only is the outfit casual, but you look super fashionable and are literally prepared for anything the weekend throws at you! Super quick word about the sneakers; you will never guess where I got them! Amazon Fashion! They are so comfortable and I love the color combination so much, I just had to have them!
This Is Going To Be Your Go-To White Shirt Dress Outfit for Autumn and Winter Too…
One of the basics that every girl needs in her capsule wardrobe is a white shirt dress. You might think that the white shirt dress is something you can only pull out in warmer weather, but it’s actually a piece you can wear all year round! A shirt dress makes for the perfect summer to autumn transitional outfit, and I’ve found the cutest way to style it! Since we are officially entering layering season (and will be here all the way until March next year! Insert shock face emoji) the key to wearing this piece is, of course, layering. White is such an easy color to work with because it literally matches with everything and anything. I wanted to stick to the neutral palette by layering a gorgeous tan sweater over. Not only is it practical as it keeps you warm, but it’s also incredibly chic!
Sticking to neutrals, I opted for some black accessories. These Chloe boots are the same ones I’ve been wearing on repeat for the past two months. I have no intention of putting them away anytime soon! To really finish the look I added in a black beret. I love that it immediately transforms the outfit, making it so much more Parisian chic!
I’ve been away this past weekend at one of my closest friends weddings (Did you catch it all on my Instagram?). As it was an Indian wedding, I found myself in stilettos and incredibly heavy outfits for a majority of the time so this was the perfect outfit to slip into! Comfortable yet chic – you really can have it all! If you wanted to add some color, I would layer a different sweater over the dress; maybe a beautiful orange or red! What do you think? Would you wear it?

This Is How You Create The Perfect Red Outfit For Fall…
Red happens to be one of my favorite colors and it also happens to be this season’s hottest shade to wear. Not only is it all about incorporating accents into your look, it’s about creating a top to toe red outfit! If you’re wondering how to wear monochrome, let alone how to wear red in the fall, I’ve got you covered with this outfit idea and a few tips to help you along the way. Trust me, you’re one step away from a street style look!
Pair With Subtle Colours. I think the best way to make a red outfit work for every day, is to incorporate some more subtle shades into your look. Since red is such a bold color, it helps to tone down the look by throwing in some beige and white. I threw over a light beige knit to make my outfit more wearable. My white shoes also broke up the white look and complimented by knit!
Mix & Match Shades. A monochrome look doesn’t mean it all has to be one shade! Try and mix and match different shades of red to create an interesting outfit combination! Try and work with shades that are brighter and lighter and see how you can put them together! For example, I would love to incorporate some burgundy into this look!
Be Confident. Last but not least, be confident! Wearing top to toe of any color can be quite intimidating. The key to pulling off a monochrome outfit is just being confident and carrying yourself with your head held high! Remember, confidence can make or break an outfit especially if you’re going for such a bold shade! I am sure that any monochrome look you wear is going to look great!
My favorite part about transitioning my wardrobe for the colder months is how creative you can be with your clothes! Many of us are quick to stow away summer pieces like our denim minis and white shorts, but they are actually the perfect transitional outfit pieces! I have never believed in rules in fashion – breaking the rules is a part of expressing yourself through style. That’s why I have always worn white, all year round! With white also being a key trend for Autumn/Winter 2017, you have every reason to keep your white shorts at the front of your closet!
The key to creating the perfect transitional outfit is pairing! With white denim shorts that are usually perfect for the summer, I would recommend something chunky and cozy to create the perfect contrast. That’s why I opted for one of my favorite chunky sweaters. You can wear any color with white, but neutrals like beige and cream work beautifully.
What really makes looks like these specials are the right accessories. To really elevate white shorts, I opted for my Seven Boot Lane boots. By adding a structured fedora like the one I have on, the entire look is more refined. You could also opt for a beret or baker boy! We all know how much I love those right now! A touch of color with my vermillion bag and I am ready for anything! This is actually an outfit that I have taken from a meeting to coffee, to drinks with friends! Who knew that your white summer shorts could be so versatile in the autumn? Would you wear this outfit?

There is nothing more exciting than refreshing your wardrobe at the start of a new season. That feeling of a new start is undeniable! Chunky knits, thigh high boots, and adorable patterns are all coming our way this autumn. That being said, we have a new set of autumn trends to tackle! You know that I am a firm believer that trends should not drive your personal style, rather you should use them to enhance your sense of fashion (See how I translate F/W runway trends for everyday looks here!) What I love about autumn trends like these though, is that they are easy to work into everyday looks and they are also always in style!
My favorite go-to’s for autumn and winter are heritage prints like tartan, herringbone and checks, adorable hats like berets and baker boys, and red. Red is one of my favorite colors so I was ecstatic when I started to see the color pop up everywhere! The lovely thing about all three of these trends is that they go together perfectly! For this look, I combined a check blazer from Find by Amazon Fashion with my favorite red skirt. I love how well the colors go together! Plus, no autumn wardrobe is complete without a blazer like this! To finish off the look I added in my beret – the perfect finishing touch! What I really love is that although these pieces are “in trend” they work so well with my personal style that I’ve worn them over and over! Do you recognize the skirt from my LFW diary?
It’s such an easy outfit idea; a formula you can reach for no matter what! You can replace the beret with any cute winter hat in your wardrobe for the same effect! What do you think? Would you try three trends in one look?
Fashion month is fully upon us and I was so excited and honoured to be attending my second ever official London Fashion Week. With a few more shows on my schedule this year, I really felt like I was in the middle of it all. Not only was I feeling incredibly inspired to be surrounded by people who had paved their own way in the industry, I was secretly loving the hectic hustle and bustle of getting from one show to another. Although I had my first ever fashion week disaster (Keep scrolling to find out what!) I learnt so many valuable lessons an have answers to all your fashion week questions too! Scroll down for everything that went right and also wrong for my second ever LFW!
For my first outfit, I wanted to mix and match patterns while keeping the silhouette simple. It’s no surprise that I am a huge fan of checks and tartan. I loved the idea of mixing different types of checks together to create one look. The mustard yellow sweater seemed to pair perfectly with the autumn tones of the checks. I completed the look with a monogram bag, and my favourite Chloe boots. Simple yet stylish!

Day One of London Fashion Week was off to a very hectic start. I had my first presentation of the day with Hainzhen Wang. I loved the way he mixed sports wear with swarovski to create a truly unique aesthetic. You couldn’t miss the customised Nike’s for the show as well! Following this I had the opportunity to have a one on one with the beautiful Tamara Zantout about her fabulous jewellery line Evra. My last presentation of the day was one of my favourites of the season – Roberta Einer. Roberta always manages to create a fun and playful atmosphere that you are more than happy to get lost in. This season, she had skateboards covered in slogans and art accompanying her beautiful pieces. Her pieces can best be described as femininity with an edge, with her gorgeous crystal work paired with customised Vans. I need these Vans!
My outfit for Day Two only further emphasised how much I love heritage prints! With the weather getting colder I can finally start pulling out my knits. I paired a plain white turtleneck with this adorable checked overall dress. I love the colours and the super large button details. I couldn’t resist my statement Dior bag with this look and my boots. To finish the look though, I needed my larger than life Misho hoops!
On Day Two I was attending one of my biggest shows so far. I had the honour of being a guest at the Gareth Pugh show (Thank you Ciroc!) Instead of a runway, the designer created a fashion film that was incredibly thought provoking. Taking us through the creative journey he faces while creating his rather complex structural pieces, Gareth Pugh showed us both the light and the dark of the creative process. It was quite breath taking to be able to watch it on the largest screen in Europe!
If you kept up with me on my Instagram stories you will know that it was after this show that I had my first fashion week disaster. I was meant to attend the House of Holland show and I got the venues mixed up. By the time I had gotten myself together, I missed the show. I was totally mortified and so upset to be missing such a great show! There’s always next time though right?
Day Three was my final day at LFW! For my final look, I wanted to channel one of my colour combinations ever; red and pink! I wore my super cozy Hush sweater with this bright red Maje skirt. (You’re going to be seeing a lot of this skirt!) To finish off my look, I grabbed my current favourite accessory, my beret, and my Dior heels. I love the way simple accessories can really enhance your whole look!
My last show of the week was with Paul Costelloe. I loved the candy shades he incorporated into his collection and the playful 60’s vibe that the cut and fit of the pieces had. A very fun and bright way to end my London Fashion Week this season!
Although it’s only my second London fashion week, I’ve still learned so much! I loved all the questions you guys were asking me so I thought I would answer them all for you here!
& That’s A Wrap!
What was your favourite look?

It’s time to transition that summer skirt in autumn…
There is no doubt that autumn is here in London. The wind is getting colder than any of us would like and I find myself wanting to snuggle in a sweater more than before. I know so many of us are so excited for sweater weather but a small part of me also doesn’t want to leave behind some of my favorite summer pieces. There are always those pieces we all wish we had worn more of in the summer, those pieces that make us feel so glamorous, or beautiful. The summer skirt is one of those pieces (especially for me!). What’s great is that it’s also one of the pieces you can very easily transition into your autumn wardrobe! Today it’s all about how to wear your favorite summer skirt in the autumn…
The formula is actually pretty simple. Grab your favorite summer skirt. For me, it’s this beautiful Isabel Marant Etoile piece. I love the ruffles and how feminine I feel when I wear this skirt. Now throw over a super chunky knit (or a lightweight one!) and add a pair of boots or sneakers. What I really adore about this formula is that the shoes always add some edge to your summer skirt, giving the whole look a very different vibe! Don’t be afraid to play around with texture or colors like I have here by adding in the yellow. You can even try this formula with your favorite summer dress!
I just wanted to also give these sneakers a mention. I got them from Amazon from their new brand, Find! They are so comfortable and so stylish – who would have guessed right? The mix of colors makes them super easy to match!
So how are you going to be wearing your summer skirt? Would you try this look?
