There are some fashion rules that were meant to broken, and no white in winter is one of them. It might seem instinctive to reach for an all-black look for your cute winter outfit but I find an all-white look to be so much more impactful, while still being so simple to create. It still surprises me how a lot of my friends still ask me “Is it really okay to wear all white in the winter? Isn’t that just a summer thing?” Yes, it’s okay to look incredible in an all-white outfit this season because I’m about to show you how to wear white in the winter. No, it isn’t just a summer thing.
Now I’m not sure if we reach for an all black outfit in the winter because it reflects our feelings about the grim weather, or because it attracts more heat, but you can still be cosy and warm in white. An oversized knit in a fluffy material, or even a beautiful cable knit is the perfect place to start. I couldn’t resist wearing this beautiful Ba&sh jumper with the knotted back detail (Yes it’s totally this Sincerely Jules sweater! I bought it way back in the summer and have been waiting to wear it since!) I paired it with a pair of white high waisted trousers (Pro tip: Wear a pair of Uniqlo heat tech leggings underneath for an extra dose of warmth).
A great way to make all white work for you is with your accessories. I added in this shearling hat as the perfect winter outfit touch. Weaving in winter materials helps to keep your outfit in season. I’ve clearly grown to the idea of socks and heelsas I thought it was the best way to wear my favourite heels while still staying warm!
So is this a rule you like to break in the winter? How do you wear all white? Comment below with your fashion story!

It’s official; sweater weather is here which means it’s time to update the knit section of your winter wardrobe. The base of any cute winter outfit is always a good sweater. Whether you’re layering it up or wearing it on its own, the right sweater can take your outfit from good to great. The autumn-winter 2018 trends highlighted that statement sweaters and animal print are here to stay, but the street style scene is highlighting oversized knits and tricolours. I’ve rounded up a selection of some of the best sweaters on the high street and beyond right now, in the five trending styles.
My favourite part of this selection is that you’d be surprised at the amazing quality of some of the high street pieces, especially the & Other Stories cashmere range! It just shows you how the options are endless but I’ve highlighted the best of the best for you here.
A quick note about my outfit as well. This tricolour knit from & Other Stories has been one of my favourites this season. The colours make it so easy to style with a simple pair of jeans or to layer over a white shirt dress as I have here. If you remember my petite girl tips then you’ll know that clinching your waist is key. That’s why I added in my Prada belt bag. To bring the look together (and keep me warm) I finished the outfit with my Stuart Weitzman Highland suede boots.

One of my most frequently asked questions is how to take care of designer bags properly. You’ve splurged on your dream bag but how do you maintain it when you aren’t wearing it! Luckily I have some experience in this area and after gathering a lot of tips from the women around me I’ve learnt that there are three practices that are necessary for properly taking care of your luxury handbags. I’ve shared these three tips with you below so scroll down to learn how I make sure all my bags remain looking as beautiful as the day I got them!
I know a lot of you also wonder how to store them. I’ve covered that in the tips below along with some special tips for storing your bags when you don’t have a lot of living space!
Always store your designer handbags in the cloth bags they came in. This protects them from dust and any other factors that may ruin the material of the bag. Make sure that your bags are stored in a dry place as moisture can ruin the leather/material of your bag, including the inside of your bag. If you live in Europe, this is much easier to do but if you live in Asia, you’ll know that moisture and humidity can find it’s way into your closet. A trick I learnt from growing up in India is to take those little silica gel bags you get with some purchases and place them inside your bags. This will soak up any moisture in the air!
Some of you are wondering how to store your bags if you have limited storage space (Did someone say London apartment problem? I feel you). There are a few options that you can explore. You can either get these clear drawers from Muji, which are large enough for you to neatly place your bags in and makes them easy to access. The extra storage is always welcome right? For clutches and smaller bags, you can look to get a soft hanging shelf in your closet. This has soft shelves that you can store more bags in.
Top Tip: Take those little silica gel bags you get with some purchases and place them inside your bags. This will soak up any moisture in the air!
To make sure your bags maintain their shape, be sure to stuff them. You can either stuff them with fabrics like your scarves or with acid-free tissue paper. Usually, when you get a new bag, they come with stuffing already and I tend to keep this stuffing going in all my bags. You can also purchase bag inserts that will help to keep the shape of your bag but I prefer the previous options as they are just easier. It’s very hard for a bag to regain it’s shape, trust me that’s a lesson I’ve learnt the hard way, so make sure you stuff them properly!
Like anything, your bags need some TLC. Some designer bags come with a buffing cloth that you can use to buff and clean the leather. You can use this for all your bags. You can also get a special scotch guard for your cloth/suede bags to make sure they do not stain. It always helps to maintain the material of your bags by giving them a good wipe and clean every few months.

You wake up in the morning, glance at the clock and realise you don’t have much time. You need a cute winter outfit for your day but, out of habit you reach for the usual; a sweater and jeans. Raise your hands if this sounds familiar. Now, having a winter uniform or a go-to outfit is never a bad thing, as long as you know how to change it up and elevate it. The last thing you want is for it to look like you’re wearing the same exact thing every day right? I’m guilty of having a winter outfit uniform, but I always make sure to follow three simple tips to elevate a simple winter outfit.
1. Swap your denim
It’s fine to always reach for a pair of black trousers or dark blue jeans but by simply switching up the colour or material of your bottoms, your whole outfit will have a totally fresh feel. If you always wear blue or black jeans, opt for a lighter colour denim, in a different fit. If you always wear black bottoms, why not try faux leather leggingsinstead? I swapped my trusty skinny jeans for a pair of wide-leg light blue mom jeans. It already made my outfit feel new!
2. Layer it up
Another great way to elevate your simple jeans and sweater look is to add another layer. Whether this is a cute little neck scarf, or a check blazerlike the one I’m wearing here, a new layer on top of your old formula will make the whole outfit feel different.
3. Accessories are key
I love to swap my bags around and to always try and add a pop of colour to my outfit. I was able to do that with my little Chanel cross body in this outfit. For that extra touch, I even added a little scarf on my bag. This is a great little trick for any bag with any outfit. The pop of colour adds a new level of interest to your outfit!
So, your jeans and sweater combination will never feel stale again. Are you going to try any of these tips?

DryBy was mentioned in my previous instalment of this series as a place to get your hair done, but it’s also famous for being one of the best places to get a manicure in London. It’s quick and easy and they also have a gorgeous nail art selection. Their express manicure starts from £25 and their regular manicures start from £40. It’s also an incredibly beautiful place so you’ll want to get your phone out to document it on Instagram!
Cowshed is one of my favourite spa’s in London and they also happen to provide an incredibly relaxing experience when it comes to getting a manicure and pedicure. They have fabulous coffee and TV’s playing your favourite shows so you can really kick back and enjoy some serious you time! Their prices start from £35 for a manicure and they are located all over London, including in Selfridges itself!
This is one of the newer nail salons to hit London but is still incredibly cool. Loved by editors and celebrities alike, Townhouse offers manicures from £35. They even have a really cute little Photo Booth for your nails where you can photograph your adorable manicure and share it to Instagram! They also offer nail art so another great place to hit up if you’re looking for something special for the holiday season!
I recently was able to have my nails done by one of the Wah nails specialists and I was so happy with my manicure! Wah is really known for their fabulous nail art and you can literally come in and get anything you could possibly want done! Their prices start from £25 and they are located in the heart of Soho.
If you’re in a real rush and you need something quick and easy then you need to try one of the Nails Inc express counters. The ones I’ve used before are the ones in Selfridges and in Harvey Nichols. They are quick, efficient and have a wide range of colours to choose from. Perfect for the girl on the go!

I once read an article about style tips for petite women like me. It said that if you’re petite, you should not layer. I strongly disagree with that statement. I’m just about 5’1 and I love to layer. If you’re a long-term follower of my blog you’ll notice that come winter, I actually like to layer up a lot! I know that a lot of you are also petite girls like me and so today I wanted to share some special style tips with you to show you how you can layer your outfits this winter without looking like your clothes are wearing you. We want to avoid the scene where Joey wears all of Chandler’s clothes and instead embrace a more chic look. Right? Right! Here are my top three tips:
1. Cinch your waist.
One of the best styling tips in your arsenal as a petite woman is to accentuate your waist. Highlighting your waist allows for you to add definition to your silhouette in your outfit. This stops you from looking lost in your clothes and can make your legs look longer. It’s also a great way to wear an oversized look without looking shorter. I added a belt over my turtleneck and my blazer jacket in this outfit.
2. Well fitted & High Waisted
When choosing your bottoms, well-fitted denim like skinny jeans, and high waisted denim or trousers are always a better option. It helps to make your legs look longer and again, emphasises your waist. Slimmer fits are always better because they define your shape better and stop you from looking like you’re swimming in your clothes.
3. Black is your friend.
Black is renowned for making us all look slimmer but for petite girls, an all-black outfit can actually also make you look taller. The monochrome effect works very well when you’re shorter! For more tips on how to wear an all black outfit without it looking basic, check out my styling tips here.
