The Coziest Winter Dress You’ll Be Wearing all Season Long

I had no idea that this was a dress when I picked it up…

Autumn is officially here but with Christmas around the corner (don’t tell me you haven’t noticed the lights and decorations everywhere!) winter isn’t very far behind. One of my favorite purchases this season came in the form of a dress that I initially thought was a coat! What I love in a winter outfit is something that is chic and unique and this dress is both those things! I initially picked it up because I loved the colors and thought it was a fabulous jacket. When I tried it on (always try everything on! Have you seen my latest vlog with all my shopping tips?) I realized it was actually a fabulous, and very warm, winter dress!

I wanted to let this amazing piece speak for itself, so I paired it with my amazing velvet boots and my favorite Sunday Somewhere sunglasses! These boots are a purchase that I made last year but I’m still as in love with them as ever! These are Miu Miu but I found some super similar ones here! I loved the retro feel that all the accessories brought to the outfit (I mean, how old school Italy are my sunglasses?) and together, it created the perfect winter outfit for any occasion! Another winter dress to add to the collection!

This is another one of my outfits that took me all of 5 minutes to put together. It’s looks like these, that are easy and look amazing, that are always great to have on hand! Especially because it works for so many different occasions and will never fail you if you’re running late!

Why You Need A Leather Skirt To Look Perfect This Winter

The Piece Every Capsule Winter Wardrobe Needs…

There is no denying that winter is setting in here in London and our favorite winter boots and coats are starting to emerge. What I love about this time of year are all the textures we get to play with, from chunky knits to tweed and of course, leather. There are certain pieces that every capsule wardrobe needs and the leather skirt are one of them. The perfect piece to create many winter outfits, a leather skirt can literally be worn with anything, and in so many different ways. If you’ve been reading TSS for a while now, you know that I love to get as much wear out of my pieces as possible. The more versatile the piece the better! If you’re in Europe like me, it’s probably time to start layering the tights underneath, but for all my American readers, you still have some time to show some leg!

A leather skirt doesn’t need to break the bank. The one I’m wearing in this outfit is a faux leather skirt from Zara. I love that the texture is quite soft, something that I’ve been seeing in all the latest magazines too! I’ve seen some gorgeous ones like this one from Topshop, and this one from ASOS – both super affordable! The best part about a skirt like this is that you can wear it with your favorite chunky cable knit for a casual everyday look, or you can dress it up with a blouse for a night out! The winter outfit inspiration from this one piece is endless.

I chose to go for a classic look with my skirt. I paired it with a white sweater and a cropped black blazer. A super classic combination that you can’t go wrong with! I added in my riding boots because I loved how it added to the classic vibe of my outfit! These have to be my favorite boots – I’ve had them for 5 years, long before I started blogging – and I still wear them every single year. Now that’s a good purchase, right?

The Easiest Outfit For You To Look Stylish This Autumn

The easiest autumn outfit just takes one piece…

There’s nothing better than looking great but also feeling great in your outfit. It’s one of the keys to effortless style (more on how to achieve that later!) One of the cutest autumn outfits that look and feels great literally just requires one piece of clothing from your wardrobe; the dress! Just because the weather is getting colder, doesn’t mean that dresses and skirts need to be abandoned! What I love about a dress for autumn is that it takes less than a second to put on and it’s the easiest way to come up with a super stylish outfit idea for fall. I picked up this gorgeous Tibi knit (I’ve linked to some other similar options below!) dress a few months ago and have been waiting to it to you guys! Like any great outfit, it makes me feel so stylish when I wear it!

I love the unique fit of this dress with its statement sleeves and cinched waist. I wanted to pair the navy blue of the dress with some chic accessories and create a fun color combination. My Helmer waist bag seemed like the perfect accessory to really highlight my waist and the silver and green were a perfect pairing! I’ve always believed that navy and black are a match made in heaven so my little Dior pumps were a must! (Have you seen the super similar ones I found from Mango?)

There are so many ways you can wear the same dress as well! As the weather gets colder I would wear some sheer tights and thigh high boots with this dress and add in a faux fur coat or gilet! The Under £50 Skirt You’ve Been Seeing Everywhere and How To Style It

This Skirt Is Your New Favourite Autumn Piece

When I spotted this skirt a few months ago I fell in love with it immediately. I knew exactly how I wanted to style it but I just needed the weather to get a little cooler. When I realized that it was under £50 I was even more excited! Such a steal! Fast forward to fashion month and this skirt was popping up here and there and I just couldn’t wait to share it with you. Believe it or not, this beauty is from Zara! I love when a piece looks extremely luxe but comes with a super affordable price tag. I think it’s super important to realize that your outfit doesn’t have to be expensive to look expensive – it’s all about mixing and matching!

So, now you have this amazing skirt – how do you style it? With the weather dropping lower and lower, the asymmetric hem of this skirt is perfect for an amazing autumn outfit. One of my favorite fall outfits is flowy skirts like this one with a tight-fitting turtleneck. (Remember how I said a turtleneck is a total must-have for autumn? See all my 5 must-haves for fall, no matter the season here) Having a fitted top with a loose skirt helps make sure your silhouette is not lost! I loved the idea of pairing it with some sock boots. Might as well show a little leg while we can right? Add a chic pair of sunglasses and an equally chic handbag and you’ve got yourself a gorgeous fall outfit!

As the weather gets colder, I would pair this skirt with a chunky turtleneck and stick a waist belt over it to create a more defined silhouette. Pair that with your favorite over the knee boots and you have another amazing outfit. How would you style this skirt?

5 Classic Pieces You Need for the Perfect Autumn Outfit

5 Classic Pieces for Hundreds of Perfect Autumn Outfits…

Now, if someone told me years ago that all I needed were 5 classic pieces to always look my best, every season, then I would have been jumping for joy! Luckily, I’m here to tell you just that! Coming up with autumn outfit ideas can seem like such a task but the perfect fall outfit is much simpler than that! All you need is five classic pieces to always look your best! It’s more than likely that you already have these pieces floating around in your wardrobe somewhere. If not, then I’ve linked to all the pieces I’m wearing and some more affordable options as well. Trust me, all these pieces are worth investing into because they are all classics. Classics last you season after season, no matter how many trends come and go. Nothing better than having style that is eternal right?

The first piece you need is a leather jacket. The leather jacket is the perfect outerwear for spring and for fall. It looks cool, it feels great and it matches with everything! Mine is from Maje, but I’ve linked to a few more affordable options below! Secondly, no fall or winter wardrobe is complete without a turtleneck. Turtlenecks are your best friend because they look chic no matter what you wear them with. Plus it helps that they keep you incredibly warm! I love this one because it’s quite fitted but I also have my fair share of loose ones! I’ve linked to some of my favorites below!

Thirdly, you need a heritage print skirt. I’ve shared how important a printed skirt like this is when you feel like you have nothing to wear, and that’s because it is such a classic piece! I have a fair few in my arsenal in different colors for different moods! Again, a classic piece that never goes out of style! I’m sure you can all guess what I’m going to say next, over the knee boots. Your OTK’s are your best friend. they can make a jeans and sweater combination look fierce, or dress down a super formal dress. Last but not least, a hat. Hats can actually be your best friend on bad hair days. A baker boy hat may not be as classic as a beret, but I also believe that if something suits you, it’s in style. Whatever your hat of choice may be, it’s your best friend to instantly elevating any fall outfit!

The Coolest Way To Elevate Your Jeans & Sweater Outfit

Jeans & a sweater don’t have to be boring, they can be super chic…

As the weather gets colder, our heads are filled with wonderful layering outfit ideas, aren’t they? But when it really comes down to it and we have 5 minutes to get dressed, we reach for our trusty favorites. For most of us, our favorite pair of jeans and a sweater usually do the trick. After a while, this combination starts to feel a little old and stale. No problem though, because today I’m sharing how you can take your trusty jeans outfit and elevate it!

I find that the easiest way to elevate my jeans and sweater outfit for fall and winter is by choosing a different pair of jeans. I paired my no-fail white sweater with this gorgeous pair of denim trousers from Joe’s Jeans. Not only does the tailored fit instantly elevate my entire look, the pattern on it makes the whole combination feel so fresh. It’s a super easy way to get that street-style star look in under 5 minutes.

If you’re petite like me it can be really important to keep in mind what you pair with a pair of jeans like these. I really wanted the tailoring of the jeans and the pattern to stand out, so I paired it with a very plain top to keep the look casual yet chic. Plus, I needed to add some height to my silhouette so I went with some little black boots to pull the look together. Much like a little black dress, little black boots are a total necessity for your look! If I wanted to make this look a bit more formal, I would add a blazer. To take this look from desk to drinks, I would just keep it as it is and throw on a great red lip! What do you think?

It felt even longer since I started the 30 Day Sugar Challenge but it’s almost Friday and I am so ready! Most of my closest friends work in offices during the week. So when the weekend finally arrives, they can’t wait to shed their week wear and hop into their weekend outfits. That means, that the blazer is tossed to the side. Now here’s the thing. I love a good black blazer. It’s chic, it’s refined, it looks amazing, what’s not to love about it? Don’t let your work week take away from one of the key pieces in your closet! It’s time to make the most of your wardrobe!

Today I want to inspire you to wear that black blazer over the weekend and still make it look and feel casual and cool! This Is How You Can Wear Your White Shirt Dress In The Autumn

This Is Going To Be Your Go-To White Shirt Dress Outfit for Autumn and Winter Too…

One of the basics that every girl needs in her capsule wardrobe is a white shirt dress. You might think that the white shirt dress is something you can only pull out in warmer weather, but it’s actually a piece you can wear all year round! A shirt dress makes for the perfect summer to autumn transitional outfit, and I’ve found the cutest way to style it! Since we are officially entering layering season (and will be here all the way until March next year! Insert shock face emoji) the key to wearing this piece is, of course, layering. White is such an easy color to work with because it literally matches with everything and anything. I wanted to stick to the neutral palette by layering a gorgeous tan sweater over. Not only is it practical as it keeps you warm, but it’s also incredibly chic!

Sticking to neutrals, I opted for some black accessories. These Chloe boots are the same ones I’ve been wearing on repeat for the past two months. I have no intention of putting them away anytime soon! To really finish the look I added in a black beret. I love that it immediately transforms the outfit, making it so much more Parisian chic!

I’ve been away this past weekend at one of my closest friends weddings (Did you catch it all on my Instagram?). As it was an Indian wedding, I found myself in stilettos and incredibly heavy outfits for a majority of the time so this was the perfect outfit to slip into! Comfortable yet chic – you really can have it all! If you wanted to add some color, I would layer a different sweater over the dress; maybe a beautiful orange or red! What do you think?
