Monday Update #24

Happy Monday!

A very happy Monday to you all! Autumn is finally hitting us here in London and I’m secretly excited to get all my cozy knits and comfy trousers out! On the other side of the pond though, New York Fashion Week is in full swing with the latest in what’s in and cool for Spring next year! Have you guys been keeping up with the collections? I’m going to be doing a round up on my Instagram stories today of all my favourite looks. Plus I have a very special Instagram video going up today so keep your eyes peeled for that!

This Past Week

We all know I love a good shop, and I especially love it when a store has designers that I may not have heard of – those unique one of a kind pieces. Studio B is exactly that. It’s an awesome new online store stocking up and coming designers and their amazing pieces. The founder is lovely and each and every piece has been chosen with care and consideration. I feel like there is something for everyone! Check them out here!

The Only Top You Need For The Perfect Summer to Autumn Look

You Won’t Be Able To Live Without This Transitional Piece…

Although most people find transitional dressing for summer to autumn stressful, I think it can be quite fun! Finding the perfect pieces for that ideal transitional outfit can be a challenge, but I’ve found the only top that you need to get the perfect outfit; the backless top. Although the weather might be getting chillier, your mid-season outfit is all about balance. With this gorgeous black backless top, I opted for a pair of jeans and a chain belt to dress the top down and make it work for my daily routine.

The best part about this top is that it can be worn for day and night. Swap your favourite jeans for a black skirt or some black trousers. Add some heels and your favourite statement earrings. That’s right, you just went day to night with the same top! I love pieces that work not only for many seasons, but also work for any time of the day! This top is one such piece, and trust me, you won’t be able to do without it!

Also, I know I have marks on my back. Yes I have been embarrassed about them but you know what, it’s just how it is. I didn’t want to photoshop them out because I wanted to show you guys that you should feel beautiful in your own skin, because you all are beautiful!

Basket Bags, the biggest 2017 handbag trend…

Basket bags are no longer just for your days on the beach. Anything but slow and steady, the basket bag trend is taking over 2017 and our closets along the way! With countless of options, including basket bags with tassels, basket bags with slogans (Like mine!) or basket bags with pom poms (Like the one I wear here), there is a basket bag for everyone. The trick to wearing a basket bag on the daily is to embrace the contrast. My jumpsuit and kitten heels are the perfect look for a day in the city, but my straw bag transforms the whole outfit. I love that it can add a touch of summer to any outfit! It works with jeans and a tee shirt, or a summer dress even. No matter what you wear, summer comes with your new best friend; the basket bag! I chose this straw bag for this spring outfit because I loved how the blue and red on the bag matched with my jumpsuit. The slogan caught my eye immediately as well because, admittedly, I do love all things Italy! I hope everyone is having a lovely start to the week post bank holiday weekend. Monday Brief #13

Happy Monday!

Is it just me or did this weekend FLY by?! It was all way too quick! I’m also ready for the sun to start shining again but it seems we are in for a couple of wet spells this week in London. -.- Other than literally devouring my body weight in dim sum over the weekend and finding the perfect spring essentials it’s been a pretty fun week here at the TSS HQ!

I’ve also discovered the amazing website Azalle! I love that I can take all these courses that are created by such amazing bloggers, photographers and influencers – such a fabulous opportunity to learn! I’m currently enrolled in an amazing branding course by Jenny from Margo & Me!

This Past Week

I’ve been loving the online course I’m currently enrolled in at Azalle.com and I highly recommend it for everyone! I’ve had so much time to think about my aesthetic and who I am through my blog, it’s been super enlightening! (Probably why I’ve been a bit quiet this week but don’t worry I’m back!).

I am also currently obsessed with this awesome new app called Style Counsel! It’s made by women for women – you can upload a photo of your outfit and women around the world, including bloggers and stylists, will weigh in on your look! It’s a great way to get some style tips and help super fast at the tip of your fingers! Check it out here

How to Wear the New Spring Colour Combination

The Coolest Colour Combination Around…

Spring is here and the March outfit ideas are all coming at you now! I’m so excited for all my spring and summer inspired outfits, especially because of all the gorgeous colours that we get to rock now that the sun is out! My favourite new colour combination involves a lot of pink and my other favourite colour, orange! (I also love red and pink – a classic!). Since the weather is much warmer now, I can finally pull out my suede jackets – starting with this blush pink one that matches so perfectly with my favourite orange sweater! I also loved being able to style the tie details of the skirt and the sweater together!

My accessories played a vital role in my outfit as well, I especially loved that my blush bag works so perfect with this colour combination. I also love my new Daniel Wellington watch! The classic feel adds the perfect finishing touch to the look! What do you guys think?

Not Your Grandmas Cardigan

The cardigan just got edgy…

This is another one of the outfits that I got to shoot with the very talented photographer, Gaurav, while I was in Bombay during Christmas! The weather outside was boiling so we decided to shoot this particular look indoors. Luckily for you – this is the perfect look for the weather right now! I chose this combination because of the contrasts. I love that the sweater (Yes this is the same sweater I was wearing in Paris during PFW!) has a very elegant feel to it, especially with the pearl buttons and the stripes. I paired it with an edgier skirt from Deme by Gabrielle, a super cool designer based in India. I love the asymmetric hem of the skirt, and the slightly higher length on one side really provides that edgier feel that I was looking for with this outfit.

I kept everything else really simple because I love the statement that the two pieces in this look make! Paired with a simple black tee shirt and pointed flats – I had a winning combo! I had so much fun shooting this particular look and I hope you guys like it!

Hello from beautiful Holland! I’ve been loving have a bit of time off right now, and you can keep up with all my adventures in Holland through Instagram! This Past Week

I’ve been in Holland this past week, but I’ve still been sharing some posts while I’ve been away! Notably – I had the honour of being one of the influencers to reveal the new Daniel Wellington watch! Have you guys seen it yet? I love being in Holland, not only because it’s so beautiful here, but also because they have amazing brands! Have you heard of the brand Anecdote? I discovered it a few years ago when I was here in Holland, and I am obsessed with their cool style! Check them out #styletip. It was also Amazon India Fashion Week which is super exciting – I used to attend the shows but since I moved to London, it hasn’t worked out yet! The Gucci Tee Strikes Again…

I’m writing to you not from London (which is where I usually am) and not from Bombay (which is where these photos were shot) but from Holland! I’m currently on a mini break in NL right now but I wanted to take this opportunity to share these photos that I shot while I was in Bombay over Christmas! I had the opportunity to shoot quite a few outfits with the very talented photographer there named Gaurav. All the outfits we shot however were for the warmer months so I’ve waited all this time to share them with you but I hope you like them!

This was one of my favourite looks from the ones we shot! Not only because I had just gotten the Gucci tee shirt at this time and was so in love with it (I am totally so in love with this tee shirt still – I can’t get over it!) but also because of how we shot it! I’m petrified of heights but we got up onto this tiny little terrace and Gaurav got up one level higher than me to shoot this! I was petrified of being so high up and leaning against the railing but the shots were so worth it and it was actually a lot of fun! I paired the tee shirt with what is actually a jumpsuit! I love the flared bottoms of this Reformation jumpsuit and thought it went perfectly with the vibe of the tee shirt (Love that jumpsuits are so multi purpose!) – the sunnies gave it that extra special retro feel!

Revealing your new favourite time piece

I have the pleasure of being one of the influencers to reveal the brand new Daniel Wellington watch, The Classic Petite, to none other than you! When I received the watch in the mail a few weeks ago I wanted to post about it immediately but had to stay quiet until it was officially released and now the time has finally come! I immediately fell in love with the super sleek and minimalistic design of the watch which makes it the perfect companion for every day – keeping me on track and in style!

This is the first time that Daniel Wellington is doing a mesh strap, but what I also love most about this watch, is that it’s petite! For a small wrist like mine, this watch is perfect because not only does it not over power your look, but it’s also incredibly feminine which means it matches with everything and anything! I mean, what else could you ask for a watch? I think this one has it all!
