So it’s no surprise that the slogan t shirt is taking over the street style scene right now. I still remember when the Gucci T shirt was the it piece to have in your wardrobe, but if you remember from this post, I actually think that another designer t shirt is a far smarter long-term investment than the Gucci one; this Saint Laurent t-shirt. So you’ve picked it up, you’ve worn it all summer long and you’re just not ready to put it away for autumn. Sound familiar? That’s definitely how I feel about all my favourite slogan t shirts! That’s why today I’m showing you how to wear your favourite slogan tee for a few months longer!

I paired my Saint Laurent tee with a heritage houndstooth print skirt. Prints like check and houndstooth always dominate the season and it was no different for the autumn/winter 2018 collections (See all the trends worth knowing for the season here!) Adding that autumn touch already makes your t-shirt more season appropriate. I also stuck to a very seasonal colour palette, opting for warmer shades of brown and red.

The real secret to wearing that slogan tee in the autumn is layering. I layered this beautiful maroon leather jacket over my pink t shirt since pink and red is one of my favourite colour combinations! The final touches came with my beautiful gold Jimmy Choo shoes which I’ve had in my closet for a few years now and one of my favourite Louis Vuitton handbags, the Pochette Metis. I love how the monogram doesn’t clash with any of the autumn/winter prints I love!

How To Transition Your Wardrome From Summer To Autumn: The Jumpsuit

For the third part in my summer to autumn series (for part one click here and for part two click here) I’m showing you how to style another popular piece that is also trending for autumn winter 2018 with the street style crowd; the jumpsuit. Jumpsuits are, in my opinion, one of those pieces that every capsule wardrobe needs. They are classic and effortlessly chic and great pieces to layer with.

If you know how to layer with a jumpsuit, you’ll know that you can wear your layer over or under, making styling the jumpsuit really interesting. I wanted to achieve that typical yet classic Parisian girl style. I layered a white ribbed turtleneck underneath my sleeveless black jumpsuit for an ultra-luxe look. The contrast of black and white, a classic combination, really made the outfit feel more classic and sophisticated.

For my accessories, I added in my leather baker boy hat. The baker boy hat started trending last year and is still on trend for autumn winter 2018. Leather is also a huge fashion trend for this season. I added in my chain belt for that extra touch and my favourite Chloe boots from last season. Although these boots are almost a year old, they are always in style because of their classic design. That’s why investing in good quality and beautifully designed luxury pieces are worth it.

I always find that a jumpsuit makes for an ideal casual spring or summer outfit. When it is as stylish and fashionable as this one though, there are suddenly so many different ways to wear a jumpsuit and make it feel like a fresh new outfit each time! Today, I wanted to focus on how to wear a jumpsuit for the perfect outfit this spring and why it’s the number one piece that every girl should have in her closet!

So, why jumpsuits? I fell in love with them a long time ago simply because they are so easy to wear! A jumpsuit always looks chic and fashion-forward and requires minimal thought and effort on your part! It’s one of the quickest outfit formulas, especially when you’re in a rush (or in a rush to enjoy the sun like I am right now! Thank god London got the memo about spring!). I fell in love with this utility style jumpsuit by Indian designer Deme by Gabriella. I love the silky material; it’s so lightweight and works wonderfully for the weather right now! Also, I cannot resist this stunning shade of yellow! It’s such a trending colour right now. I found some similar pieces here and here but Deme also ship worldwide!

The key to styling a jumpsuit is to accessorise. Since it’s one piece, accessories play a huge role in making your outfit stand out, and making the jumpsuit feel different every time. You can either dress them up or dress them down! I opted to add some definition to my jumpsuit with this vintage Celine waist belt. Adding definition to your waist is one of the ways to wear a jumpsuit when you are petite like me. I also added some height with my favourite block heels. 3 Ways to Wear A Jumpsuit this Winter

Whoever told you you could only wear a jumpsuit that one way, was very wrong. A jumpsuit is one of the most versatile pieces in your arsenal and it works for all seasons! Since winter is coming, or rather winter is pretty much here, I styled my favourite Hush jumpsuit in three different ways for three different occasions! 1 The Casual

As the weather continues to drop, elevate your casual jumpsuit look with some smart layering. A white turtleneck underneath this black jumpsuit provides the perfect contrast to create a luxe look for everyday! Paired with your favourite boots, you have an easy go to outfit for when you aren’t quite sure what to wear! Easy!

A casual jumpsuit can easily become a semi formal one with just a few simple tricks. 3 The Formal

Taking a casual jumpsuit and transforming it for a night out is not as hard as you might think! This is by far my favourite way to wear a jumpsuit. I love to add some texture to my outfit with a little bit of lace and a velvet choker – two things that always look gorgeous for a night out. Throw on a pair of heels and a solid statement lip and you have a laid back yet incredibly chic night outfit.

How do you style a jumpsuit?

Overall, I Love Overalls

I have never been one to love wide legs, I always felt I got lost in them. Lately however, these overalls have shown me otherwise – they have shown me how to wear wide leg pants – Overall, I love these overalls and wide legs! I’ve noticed that the trick to wearing a wide leg bottom, is making sure it’s quite fitted on top, otherwise, if you’re as petite as me (Yes that’s right, let’s avoid the word short) you could be lost in a sea of cloth. Not exactly the kind of sea you want to be diving into in the summer. I especially loved pairing them with a high neck top just for an added elegance and feeling of luxe!
